was so good! I can't wait for
next month.I just started
and so far it's okay, but the reviews have me prepared for disappointment.
I'm anxious for more Mercy too, Christal. And, Fifth Grave later this year. I've just started
and hope to start listening to book 2
soon. (EDIT) Just noticed what a pretty yellow that cover is, so I may hold off starting Hexed until our FL draw in case it's a mellow yellow spot. ;)

. I've been going through Mercy withdrawal. :)
Interesting, Angie. Hope you like it.I'm reading
. The story hooked me right off the bat and now I'm bummed b/c I don't have time to sit & finish it.
I'm interested to see what you think of
, Steph. I have that one on my TBR too.I finally read
and really enjoyed. Sweet YA romance.
I really enjoyed it, Christal. Good thriller/mystery, bit'o romance, hooked me from the start. Stinks that I have to wait a year for #2. I would've enjoyed reading it right away.
I'm anxious to hear your thoughts on that one; it's patiently waiting TBR. ;)I'm reading
for FL. So far it's ok, but not as WOW as book 1. At least not yet (about 1/4 way through it).

I can't wait to read book two, Unravel Me once my library has is available to checkout.
Same here, Amy. It was a nice twist. I'm liking this one okay so far, but might'a had my hopes too high or something. Maybe it was just b/c of the long wait between books 1-2.
How are you liking Alexa, Val? I really enjoyed those two prequels and was so happy to have book 1 on-hand to jump into immediately after. But, in book 1, she started to bug me a bit. I will be continuing the series, but had to take a break before moving onto book 2.How was Mila?
I'm conflicted about Alexia, the prequels had mature characters and limp rags in book one. The shift is too much to dive into book 2 before a cooling period.I only read the 15 pages prequel for Mila ( not a fan of getting the first chapter of a book when I don't have the rest). The premise is interesting.
Finished:
(So sad this is the final book in this trilogy series, but I thought the author did a nice job in wrapping things up)Now, I'll read
(Which I should've read before I dived right into Boundless!)
I agree, Val. It was a shift in the wrong direction - definitely tamped down my enthusiasm. Hoping for more prequel-like writing in book 2.I think my husband will like that one, Val. I'll have to remind him that we have book 1 TBR.
Amy, I've also realized I have a short I maybe should've read first. I've got about 1/4 left of #2,
and remembered I have #1.5,
TBR. Oops. How are you like Cass, Ezi? I'm hating this long wait between books 5-6. More than 1 yr between books in any series is too long, IMO.
I'm on chapter 3 of Touch the Dark, so it's still good (LOL). I haven't gotten confused yet. I know Tony is the bad ass she keeps hiding/running from, so I am still clear on who the bad guy is right now
LOL! That one does tend to be a confusing in future books when there's a bunch of time jumping and stuff. Glad you're enjoying it.
Steph wrote: " I think my husband will like that one, Val. I'll have to remind him that we have book 1 TBR."Mmmmm. I defiantly liked the Night Angel series better than the Lightbringer one. It's still a good series and the concept about using colors as a mean of magic is interesting. There is a bit of a role playing game feel to it in the sense that physics, material properties and limitation are important in a somewhat mathematical way.
Good to know. I think he has had the Night Angel trilogy for a while, but hasn't read it. I'll have to ask him. Thanks :)
Better start with the Night Angel trilogy, I love badass assassins.Finished
, I have no idea why i keep up with this series. It's not spectacular or anything and I always gets mad at the H/h at the beginning of each book but then they do something I like and wish to know where the series is going. It's was supposed to be the last book....but there will be others.

I still have to get that short either as an ebook or a kindle book.
Just started
and so far it's been a little slow. I really liked the first one though so I will continue on!
I'll let him know, Val, thanks! I love assassins too.Finished
and it was a great mid-trilogy book. Nice character growth and story progress. Really anxious to read the big finale, though I've got another year to wait for it. Bleh! That sucks eggs. First book syndrome, Val or just overload in general?
Happy Anti/Valentine's Day, SOSers!
@ Steph, think first 3 books of Blood Destinies serie (as far as magic dump abilities and WTF moments) coupled with a few grammar, names mix-up plus small plot inconsistencies....in 200 pages. It could have worked if it was done in two books, it's all in the delivery. Idea is not bad, just not all at the same time.
I loved my re-read of
-- O cannot wait for Frost Burned!I read and finished these two arcs this week:
-- which was a psychological thriller. It was good. Decent. And
which was an interesting dystopia. But I hated the ending. I am reading NOTHING right now - not audio or with my eyeballs, lol. I am waiting for the card draw in fantasyland. :)
Finished
yesterday. It felt like an episode of Prisonbreak, with a bunch of cliches thrown in for good measure. It was well written just not for me.
