You can say that again. My shelves are overloaded and my kindle is begging for a memory slot, and yet I keep adding to it. I don't have the time to write all the books I want, never mind read all the ones I want.

I rationalize it by saying if the apocalypse happens I'll still have plenty to keep me busy!

Lilian Flesher (38460207-lilian-flesher) | 16 comments Hiya everyone I am Lilian, I am old enough (to know better) lol. Crime, thrillers, horrors are my favourites. I have over 3000 books on my 1st Kindle, and I bought a new one in December which is well loaded already. (Nope I have not read them all yet - maybe I will live long enough to read most ha ha ha !!!

I have a blog on facebook and also one off facebook, I do a lot of reading for authors in exchange for honest reviews.

I read and read I love it !!!

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 652 comments I have insomnia most nights. I've always been a "night person". Most of my life I slept like 3 or 4 hours then got up and went to work.

I'm drinking Coke-a-Cola though.

Want to retire !

Lots of walking, lots of pressure, lots of rushing about.

message 4916: by Paula (new)

Paula Adams (goodreadscompadams57) | 1590 comments I always lay in bed and read when I can't sleep. Usually for hours before I can finally nod off.

message 4917: by Paula (new)

Paula Adams (goodreadscompadams57) | 1590 comments It takes a lot to wake up my husband plus he has to sleep with one of those CPAP machines for sleep apnea. I use one of those bike lights so I don't have to turn on the lamp and read for hours. Sometimes I read something on my Kindle but I like holding a book better.

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 652 comments Laid down before I read this...didn't go to sleep, but laid down.

sigh.

message 4919: by Mike (the Paladin) (new)

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 652 comments Not really. I was awake till some time after 4, woke at 6:30 and dozed till 8. May just go back to sleep...but then I'll be up all night tonight.

Part of it is pain but mostly it's just screwed up circadian rhythms I think. D**n "seasonal affective disorder" thou art a heartless b**ch.

I prefer hard cover books myself. I usually get the large print as they are easier on my eyes. I've had vision problems since I was a kid. I didn't really want a Kindle but my husband got it for me for Christmas 2 years ago. It comes in handy when we travel.

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 652 comments Try an audio book occasionally (though they are habit forming (at least for me).

message 4924: by Eden (new)

Eden Sharp | 19 comments Hi everyone,

I'm a crime thriller author and I teach fiction writing and publishing at SSU. My other interests are karate, krav maga and photography.

Writing is an addiction I've had since childhood. I decided I wanted to be a writer aged six and devised my own TV cop show in high school. I used to act out all the parts in my bedroom and then have my English teacher mark my scripts. I never stopped writing but it took me many years to do anything about it. Eventually I got serious and spent five years learning the craft and technique of writing starting with the Writers' Program at UCLA.

My favourite authors are Andrew Vachss, Michael Connolly, Lee Child and Barry Eisler.

For more information please check out my website: http://www.edensharp.com

I really look forward to getting to know you and chewing the fat thriller wise.

kind regards

Eden
