Please Introduce Yourself, Let's All Get To Know Each Other

The food security book I want to read is The Coming Famine: The Global Food Crisis and What We Can Do to Avoid It by Julian Cribb. I haven't got it yet as I can't get it as an e-book in Australia. These silly regional rules are very frustrating. Because of where I live, getting to a bookstore doesn't happen very often so I mostly just get e-books.

My name is Yassemin known as Yas, I am a 27 year old student / lawyer from Birmingham, UK.
I like reading most genres however crime/thrillers being my particular favourite. Aside from reading, I like gaming and playing the violin when I get the chance (which hasn't been in forever since my exams started).
Look forward to getting involved in the group

Where are you from Aaron? I'm in Massachusetts. We are getting more snow today. I'm about 16 miles NW of Boston.

It's supposed to snow here from 4pm to 4 am. We may beat our all time record for snow fall amounts. If not today then on Wednesday when the next storm comes.

Thank you. My husband is out with the roof rake clearing the snow off of the garage where he stores his classic cars.

I'll get the hubster to forward me some pictures of his babies (cars) so I can post them. One is a 1968 Barracuda convertible, muscle car. Love it.

cool. i featured a Chevelle in my upcoming book.
'The elevator didn’t go down fast enough for him.
He left wind and the sisters behind when it opened, headed to a customized Chevelle, matte black, dark, and foreboding, just like how he felt.
The sisters piled in behind him and when he fired it up, it leapt forward and growled, daring any other vehicle to even blink its way.
New York City compressed and flattened, people disappeared, lights disappeared, just tarmac and him.
Everything else a liquid line that whooshed past silently.'

Thanks Rob. We are trying. Planning on a trip to Florida at the end of the month. I need some beach time with a good book.

I'm curious. How do they deliver the mail in this weather?

That's a good idea, Ty. I didn't know we could do that here.

It is okay Paula,
Now we have your address we can all pop around for tea !!
Sadly a long way for me though !!

I'm in So. California and it has been raining for the past few hours. Looks like it is going to clear for awhile so the dog may consider going outside. We are obviously a little spoiled here.
I'm echoing what Ty has just said, please don't give out personal information / details for your own safety. If you want to talk to each other privately, use the private messaging system, or you can pass on messages through Mods if you prefer. Just thinking of you guys! :)

Thank you Rob. Wishing for you a light snowfall.

Sorry Sean, we are coffee drinkers here. But you would be welcome.

Thank you Janet. I've always been way too trusting.

No problems, Paula, it's not a bad way to be, but your safety has to come first. Don't be offended but I've taken that message out, the world does not need to see your address!! If you can't get through to anyone you want to then PM me or find me in the group and I'll do what I can. :)

Thank you Cameron. Still catching up reading posts on various threads here.

Thank you Janet for caring. And I will do that in the future.

Very good advice.

Vince Flynn great"
I had heard that a producer bought the rights to "Memorial Day" by Vince Flynn but refused to..."
The first book I read by Flynn was Transfer of Power. I thought it was ingenious. I am sure he got that idea from some of his fiends in National Security.
