The first book I read by Flynn was Transfer of Power. I thought it was ingenious. I am sure he got that idea from some of his fiends in National Security.

Pat (downunderpat) Hi Ty

The food security book I want to read is The Coming Famine: The Global Food Crisis and What We Can Do to Avoid It by Julian Cribb. I haven't got it yet as I can't get it as an e-book in Australia. These silly regional rules are very frustrating. Because of where I live, getting to a bookstore doesn't happen very often so I mostly just get e-books.

Pat (downunderpat) Thanks for the tip. Just bought a bunch of books but will check out "You Pick It For Me" real soon.

Ana Angelica Abaya van Doorn (angelicahopes) | 8 comments Thank you for the warm welcome and yes, I have taken notes of various thriller authors you have recommended. I watched Gone Girl last month and got curious how it was written so I bought the 3 ebooks of Gilian Flynn. I read light thriller suspense books but I admire the techniques, page turner style too of Thomas Harris. Have a happy Sunday to everyone!

Yassemin (yas666) | 2 comments Hey everyone,

My name is Yassemin known as Yas, I am a 27 year old student / lawyer from Birmingham, UK.

I like reading most genres however crime/thrillers being my particular favourite. Aside from reading, I like gaming and playing the violin when I get the chance (which hasn't been in forever since my exams started).

Look forward to getting involved in the group

It's supposed to snow here from 4pm to 4 am. We may beat our all time record for snow fall amounts. If not today then on Wednesday when the next storm comes.

cool. i featured a Chevelle in my upcoming book.

'The elevator didn’t go down fast enough for him.

He left wind and the sisters behind when it opened, headed to a customized Chevelle, matte black, dark, and foreboding, just like how he felt.

The sisters piled in behind him and when he fired it up, it leapt forward and growled, daring any other vehicle to even blink its way.

New York City compressed and flattened, people disappeared, lights disappeared, just tarmac and him.

Everything else a liquid line that whooshed past silently.'

Rob Kaufman (rob_kaufman) | 42 comments I'll try not to be envious... although I am. LMK if you'd like to read my book while in FL and I'll send you a free copy. One Last Lie You deserve it for putting up with all that snow!!

message 4773: by Paula (new)

Paula Adams (goodreadscompadams57) | 1590 comments We'll be flying into Fort Myers and I'm trying to find a room in Punta Gorda near the beach. Rob, I would love to read One Last Lie. Love the title. You have no idea how much I hate all this snow.

message 4774: by Rob (new)

Rob Kaufman (rob_kaufman) | 42 comments Paula, do you want a paperback or e-book version? Either way, I'd need your email and/or address to send it to. I just got off the phone with my Mass relatives. She said it's impossible to even go to the movies. Piles of snow are so high there's barely any parking. Same with restaurants. She's ready to move!!

I'm in So. California and it has been raining for the past few hours. Looks like it is going to clear for awhile so the dog may consider going outside. We are obviously a little spoiled here.

No problems, Paula, it's not a bad way to be, but your safety has to come first. Don't be offended but I've taken that message out, the world does not need to see your address!! If you can't get through to anyone you want to then PM me or find me in the group and I'll do what I can. :)
