Please Introduce Yourself, Let's All Get To Know Each Other

Hi Sandra!

Hi, my name is Minga but I go by Book Bud here on GR. I love reading anything by Karen Slaughter. She is my favorite author in this genre. I actually had the pleasure of meeting her in Dallas in June. I was a nervous wreck but one of my happiest moments of my life. :)

Welcome to our group.
Karin is just one of the "BEST" is she not?????
Hello Minga, welcome
Karin Slaughter is with us today, doing a Q & A if you are quick, go to the right thread and ask a question

Hello everyone, I hope I am posting this in the right place, this is all new to me!!
Basically I’m a writer who has recently published his first book, a thriller, Dance with the Enemy.
I’ve joined the forums here to better connect with readers and reviewers as I’m really keen to hear feedback on my work and just engage in general chit chat about the most exciting genre there is!
I’m a long-time reader/fan of Child, Baldacci, Connelly, Deaver, Patterson, Leather et al and quite frankly they should be quivering in their boots with the new kid on the block hot on their heels (I mean me!!)
Check out my book (currently only 85p for the ebook on amazon)- if you like proper thrillers with plenty of action, suspense and just a (tiny) bit of romance, it’ll be up your street. And, most importantly, please let me know what you think.
My website is robsinclairauthor.com, I’m also regularly on twitter (far too much really!) if you want to follow my incessant ramblings there.

LOL - I think I can appreciate your problem, too many books not enough time! So glad you bought it though, make sure you let me know how you get on!

I recently joined this group. My name is Brad Spencer. I was born in DeKalb, Illinois, but lived a decade of my life in Arizona before returning to the Midwest. After a brief stint in the corporate world, I followed my passion for writing and have now worked in the profession for more than fifteen years. I spent twelve years as an editor/writer in the newspaper business, winning several Illinois Press Association awards before stepping out on my own as an independent freelance writer, journalist, editor and author.
The Upshot, a suspense/crime thriller, is my first novel.
It's available at amazon.com in paperback and kindle versions. Also, July 15-16 the kindle version will be available to download for free. I hope you have the opportunity to download the book and post a review on both Amazon and Goodreads.
Thanks, and I look forward to participating in this group.

I am in the same boat, Ter'e~

Welcome. You will have such fun here We will corrupt you........I mean, we will share book info with you!!!!! We all love Sean and the group, in general.

Mostly,I love old books. H.P Lovecraft, M.R James. The works of writer Elliott ODonnell, that I grew up with from childhood. I write crime thrillers. Have a book 'Stalking Aidan' on Goodreads. Plus others on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, ecetera. I enjoy Irish novels of Jack Higgins. Research is at my fingertips. But I prefer to be in the city, usually London and Dublin where novels are set. I listen to old country and Irish music when I write. 'Stalking Aidan ' is first in the Chronicles of an ex-con gangster named Aidan McRaney. A young Irishman, whom the ladies love. But he has a violent side. When his eighteen year old sister is raped and later dies,he exacts a terrible revenge.
Lovely to meet you all, and if interested in exchanging reviews, I'll be happy.
Thank you.

I do have a question...I find my self with an enormous collection of books on hand that I have read. It used to be that I did not want to part with them but now in my older, wiser years I find that they really take up too much space. Any ideas on where I might could donate them?

Hi Susan, where I live, the local library and all the thrift stores happily take our books. Oh, you could also pack them up and send to Ter'e. (-:

Sounds interesting - I will be looking out for it!

Hi Susan - I have the same problem......and have been donating them to charity shops, or leaving them in random places for other people to pick up (definitely only a fine weather option!) like park benches, waiting rooms etc.
I am slowly getting rid of mine....slowly being the operative word! Good luck.
