greetings everyone! My name is Lisa and I live in the Hudson Valley area of New York. I just joined Goodreads and so happy to be here. I was perusing through groups and came upon this one and excited to join as I enjoy sharing books, as well as building a reading list from everyone's recommendations.
Hi, I'm Allie, a student from the Philadelphia area 🐳. In my free time I like to watch animal documentaries/shows (my two favorite right now are Blue Planet II and A Cats-Eye View of Japan), crochet, look after my plants, and, of course, read. However, I'm in a bit of a reading slump so I decided to join this group to see new suggestions. Thrillers and mysteries are my favorite genre because they're just so suspenseful and addictive, so I'm excited to be here!
Welcome Allie 📚
I love animal documentaries too

Hello all. I’m a 31 year old mother of three in Florida. I just recently got addicted to reading again back in June after barely picking up a book for 10 years. My favorite series is Harry Potter. My favorite authors are Harlan Coben, BA Paris, and Shari Lapena. I know I have plenty more authors to check out. I have a few more Shari Lapena thrillers to read and I’ve read all of BA Paris - just waiting on The Prisoner to come out. I still have a ton of Harlan to read. I read the Mickey Bolitar series years ago and fell in love with his work. Now I’m stoked to see it being made into a show. I’m finally going to get around to his Myron Bolitar series soon. If you have any other authors for me to check out like these guys, let me know! Oh, and I just read The Chain by Andrian McKinty and it was very good. I think I may check out more of him too.
Hi everyone,My name is Pauline and I’m from New York. Married with a son in college and my fur baby Odell ( a ruggedly handsome mutt).
I enjoy a variety of genres. Recently I’ve been reading more Mystery/ suspense. I was in a reading slump that I never thought could happen to me 😀. A good mystery helped get me back into my reading groove.
I’m looking forward to getting ideas and input from this group.
Take Care

Hi everyone! My name is Ellisse and I live in London now but am a transplant from Bermuda. I work in technology and love to read pretty much anything but mysteries and thrillers are a particular fave of mine. Some of my favourite mystery / thriller authors include Agatha Christie, Dorothy Koomson, Karen Slaughter, John Grisham, and I could keep going. Looking forward to being part of the community!
Welcome Ellisse

Hello, everyone,It's been a long time since I posted. Life's been very busy and hectic. So, hello again from Montreal, Canada.
Hi,I am Barry L. Becker, the author of two books: The Ericksen Connection and The Ryzhkov Vendetta - both Military/Espionage Suspense Thrillers. If you want to Read a Sample (6 chapters of each book), please go to my website - www.barrylbeckerauthor.com.
I enjoy novels, suspense and thriller books, and motion pictures. My wife and I live in the Portland area (Oregon), and we are both retired. I was fortunate to be associated with a biometrics technology company in the 1980s because my experience calling on sensitive installations and marketing eye-retinal optical scanning biometrics systems provided me with an opportunity later in life to use my imagination to author a novel.
Hi all! I’m Jennell. I’m a nurse from NY. I used to love to read all the time, and then got into a slump. I just picked reading again. And I’m so happy to be back. I’m new to this community. However I am so happy to be here!

Hey there! Nice to meet ya! My name is Sarah. I started reading again about a month ago after about 15 years of not reading. I typically use audiobooks to help me as I read along. I’m open to recommendations, and have found a love of thrillers, horrors, and mysteries.
Hello! My name is Mary and I am 47 years old. I live in Southern California. I've been married 24 years and I just work and read mostly. lol I've been reading for YEARS and I love it. I started in the romance genre and have read those kinds of books for years. Recently they have started to become a bore, same story just told a little different. So I started branching out and reading some mystery thriller books. I've read a few so far and have marked several others but I'm just looking to connect with fellow friends to see more what people are reading in this genre. Thanks for the add!
Good afternoon. My name is Alishia I am a Neuro ICU travel nurse and love reading mysteries and thrillers. I have a 19 year old boy and am happily married for 20 years. I live in AL. It is nice to meet you all and I look forward to learning from others and getting to know others that like to read.
Good morning, my name is Kerry Kennedy and I'm a multi-genre author.I was born in the UK but moved to Spain 3.5 years ago now and I love it.
When I'm not writing or reading, you will find me on my bike or running or my absolute passion is rock climbing.
I have four cats and a chihuahua and I love to snuggle with my furry babies and read Alot!
Really pleased to meet you all in this group and thank you in advance for welcoming me.
Happy Friday
Hi! I’m from Phoenix, Arizona and LOVE to read. Just retired a year ago so I have a lot more time for it now. I look forward to sharing with you and learning from you.
Laura
Hello, everyone! I'm delighted to meet all of you.
My (real) name is Star. I'm an American expatriate who's been living in England for 16 years now.
I'm a hardcore bibliophile and avid reader, plus writer/editor. I also happen to be a Goodreads member going back nine years, but one who accidentally deleted her account (of all things, a cough I have caused me to hit the wrong button while I was updating my photo). I was told my account couldn't be recovered so I've had to recreate a new one. Am still in the midst of re-establishing as much as I can from my friends list, to my bookshelves, to my favorite quotes, etc, etc.
I hope to spend more time at Goodreads this year and to make some new friends. I'm also planning to submit my first completed novel to literary agents soon.
An imminent Happy New Year to you all!

Hello Sean and all! After a lengthy career as a magazine publisher, ad man, and marketing consultant, I took the dive into novel writing about five years ago. My novels span Historical Fiction, SciFi/Time Travel, and lately, Suspense Thriller. Oh, and I’m a lifelong swimmer who actually swam nonstop around New York’s Manhattan island. I live with my wife deep in the woods of central Virginia in the U.S.
