Welcome Carole,

Scott welcome, by all means welcome new members, but not a place to promote yourself or books.

Just a place to welcome new members, no problem when introducing yourself to mention you are an author.

Did you read Gods and Generals - seems this is a trilogy - by two different authors? How was the first?

No, but I appreciate the recommendation. Will definitely put on my to-read list!

Thanks Scott and god bless and thank you for your service! I would definitely like to check out your material at some point; are your writings more based on your military career or have you written other genres as well?

Glynith | 1 comments Hello, Glynith here. I love books and will read just about anything.

message 8706: by Shannon (new)

Shannon | 1 comments Aloha, I'm Shannon. I live in Hawaii and am finally putting myself out there on various forms of social media to connect with the world. I don't read as much as I'd like to, but when I have the opportunity, I enjoy psychological suspense. I'm new to the writing scene and am enjoying learning how to improve. One thing I want to learn is what is the difference between psychological suspense and psychological thrillers? Hoping someone in the group can answer that for me.

message 8707: by Debra (new)

Debra | 3 comments Hi Everyone,
My name is Debbie and I live in Australia with my partner and my beautiful Ragdoll cat Gemma. I am a huge thriller/drama fan. I love Mary Higgins Clark. A few months ago I picked up a book called "What Was Once Lost" by a new author Damian Tauschke. It was a great read. Kept me engrossed all the way through. Well worth a read :)

Ray Palen (rpalen) | 83 comments I've been a member for years but usually too busy reading, reviewing books or with just life in general to actively participate on-line. However, it would be great to share reads with like-minded people and even pair off or 'group read' different titles.

I'm a lifelong book reader --- typically reading up to 3 books a week --- and have been reviewing both professionally and freelance over the last two decades for several on-line and print sites (you can read most of my reviews on Good Reads). I live in Central Florida with my wife, 5-year-old daughter and 3 cats. I work for Disney in the Live Entertainment area. I'm also a lifelong actor and regularly appear on-stage (usually in thrillers or dramatic pieces).

Reach out if anyone wants to chat or share thoughts on great novels. I'm always up for an on-line book club, as well.

Cheers,
Ray

Vivien | 1 comments Hey guys!
I'm Vivien, a Hungarian living in the UK. Reading is part of my life since I was little, so can't even imagine reading a book at all. I'm not really picky if it comes to books, but sometimes people can find me near horrors and these kind of genres (:

Lori Wilen | 4 comments Hi y'all. I am Lori and I am currently living in Maryland. I am originally from England and have lived in Manhattan (go Yankees) and Dallas (go Cowboys). Had to get that out!! I am zany and have an out there sense of humor. I love thrillers and mysteries and have so many favorite authors I could go on for a whole page. I typically have at least 3 books on the go and usually like if they are split over genres. Hope to join some of the challenges and meet some great fellow readers.

Tober Charles | 8 comments Hello all

Tober Charles here and having been brought up on a diet of Alistair McLean. Duncan Kyle, Hammond Innes , Desmond Bagley et al I'm delighted to find this group. Looking forward to some great recommends and discussions on the genre.

I've written a lot of TV drama but have just switched to novels where I'm repped by Ian Drury at Sheil Land Associates.

If anyone has any questions about my books or writing in general then please go to my author page where I'll be happy to respond.

Have a great day!

Claire Dickinson | 11 comments I'm Claire. I'm originally from Canada but have lived in France for many many years now. My taste in books is eclectic, but I do love a great thriller that keeps you guessing.

I've also just self-published my first novel on Amazon. So I'm in the process of discovering a whole new side of the book world.

Caóimhe | 4 comments Hi all!
I'm Caóimhe and I'm from Northern Ireland! I'm a student so I don't get a lot of time to chill and read so I'm taking my opportunity to do so over the summer haha! I have a lot of variety in my taste in books but at the minute I'm really getting into good psychological thrillers and I'm really looking forward to finding some suggestions in this group!

message 8740: by Peggy (new)

Peggy Hi! I'm Peggy and I live in the Twin Cities in Minnesota. I love to read and recently have taken to listening to audible books also. My favorite genre is thrilling/action mystery but I also enjoy historical fiction, a little sci fi, and the occasional humor/comedy novel. My favorite heroes are Preston/Child's Agent Pendergast, Randy Wayne White's Doc Ford, and Lee Child's Jack Reacher. I love Brian Freeman's heroes also; I have trouble choosing which I like the most Stride , Frost, or Bolton. And, I truly miss Vince Flynn, may he rest in peace.

I’m a mystery with history writer living in the Southwest US. I haven’t been active on Goodreads although several of my books have been reviewed and endorsed by GR readers. I hope you’ll check out my books if you are looking for summer mystery/thrillers from the southwest region. My book, Blood on the Cimarron won the Tony Hillerman Award from the New Mexico/Arizona Book awards. Last fall!

Maggie the Muskoka Library Mouse (mcurry1990) Hello there! I may have introduced myself already, but I'm trying to become more active. :) My name is Maggie, and I'm a librarian mom of two from Muskoka. I have loved books for as long as I can remember, and my day just isn't complete without reading a chapter or three! Besides devouring a good book, my hobbies include singing, hiking, writing, and baking. I don't have a favourite genre, but I do tend to finish novels with some family drama quicker. ;) I look forward to making new friends and getting some excellent recommendations.
