Please Introduce Yourself, Let's All Get To Know Each Other

Great to be here.

I live in a place called Thatcham in West Berkshire, England. I'm an author of several novels, two Horror, the remainder Crime and Terrorism. My favourite authors are Jack Higgins and Andy McNab. I'm currently working on a political thriller. A M. P's wife is kidnapped by a London street gang.
At the moment I'm reading 'Harps and Tears' by Phil Rowan...

Pleased to meet everyone....

I am a very new member and am a reader and as of a couple of weeks a debut author.
I live in London and enjoy crime fiction; Simon Kernick, Irvine Welsh (elastically crime fiction, I suppose), John Grisham and Mark Billingham are some favourites, John Le Carre an inspiration and Lee Child a guilty pleasure!
Always happy for feedback on my writing and to join in group discussions.
Thanks for having me.

This is video 89 of 137 on my 3rd main playlist: Johnny Horton NORTH TO ALASKA: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSt0N... This was a John Wayne movie as well. This was preceded by a video for the Five Satins 1956 song IN THE STILL OF THE NIGHT as recorded for the soundtrack of the George Lucas movie AMERICAN GRAFFITI
There are also things on my playlist that will make you think that Classical isn't as boring as you may have once believed when you listen to well executed METAL versions... .

This is ..."
I like those songs too, Amber. I love that move American Graffiti. Thank you for sharing your playlist. I'll have to watch/listen to it soon.

I missed all the previous ones, so the latest sounded pretty fresh -:)
Well you know the rules, stay within them and all will go smoothly. Have a safe trip back from Florida.

Hi Cozy, let's be friends, why not.
Hi Sean & Janet and other elders of the tribe

Thanks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpyVa... is the first video on playlist #1.
Much as I usually enjoy listening to the VS. series videos based on STAR WARS< I wasn't willing today to watch the video ov Darth Vader vs, Darth Caedus today ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDdyE... ) . That single video is nearly an hour long! I only get 3 hrs. a day online.

My name is Kristin, from Wisconsin. I'm earning a degree in journalism and film studies. (I live for trips to the theater! Books and movies are my jam.)
I fell in love with reading first when I read a simpler version of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream in elementary school and again when I picked up F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby in seventh grade.
From then on, I've come to know and love the mystery and adventure that can be packed into novels by Harlan Coben, Gillian Flynn and others of the like.
I look forward to hearing some of your reviews and recommendations!
Cheers!

Usually I don't like to introduce myself but since Sean (or Susan) asked so nicely and it seems to be common in this group:
My name is Agnieszka. I'm forty - since two days :-) was born in Poland but spend most of my life in Germany. Since about five years I'm living in the Frankfurt metropolitan area.
I have so many different interests I don't even start about I don't wont you sitting tomorrow reading about all this stuff ;-)
I'm a total number freak with a big passion for reading and if in the mood for good movies.
I read almost everything just hate horror and hard core SiFi/Fantasy (with mutants, strange worlds, destruction and that kind of stuff) love mostly Christian romantic suspense, thriller and mystery novels, sometimes romantic or historical novels too.
I you want to know more about me feel free to ask :-)
..... Susan... Only on Friday !!...LOL
So welcome Agnieszka, I hope you enjoy the group.
Nice to know all the countries we have here.

How HELL’S ANGELS influenced CASEY’S SLIP.
Over the years we berthed several of our sailboats at a marina in Oakland where several semi-retired Hell’s Angels were live-a-boards.
Those gents were great neighbors and knew everything there was to know about boats. They had every tool imaginable and were free with lending and advice. On top of that and because of their reputation as “dangerous”, theft was virtually nonexistent at that marina. A very real plus.
I’ve remained friends with one of those “gents” for many years and he eventually became a model for one of the chief characters in Casey’s Slip. At my invitation he has attended a couple of my book signings and more than once was asked to also sign my book.
I refer to him as a “gent” because of an impression he made on my wife early on. We were attending a wake for old time seaman at the marina and my friend, upon meeting my wife for the first time, gallantly bent over from his six foot plus height gently took my wife’s hand and kissed it.
“What a gentleman,” was my wife’s comment. That man became Smitty in my book.
