I'd change places with you in a heartbeat... I can't stand the heat anymore... I can barely sleep it's so hot, I wake up in the middle night and I'm sweating, judt awful. And the bugs! They are a plague, especially the mosquitoes.

The whole series is really good ☺ You should read them ☺

I'm glad you're enjoying it so far. I really like the whole series :)

Lol yes, it can be very overwhelming! Especially since we have lots of other family members with birthdays in February too. It's a crazy month for us!

It does sound good :)

Good idea Ines! :)

Jalyn, that's great news! The books have moderate distribution and I'm trying to get the word out. I'd love to hear what you think if you read.

Thanks, Sarah! I'm so happy enjoyed them!

I live in Pennsylvania, and we have a lot of Amish people in my area so these kind of books sell well for us :) I'm currently off of work for the next few weeks for minor health reasons, but I'll have to get a copy when I go back!

I've heard that

I lived in the middle of an Amish community for about 6 years. The Amish kids came to my horse farm and rode horses with the non-Amish teens and it was fascinating to watch the interactions between the two groups. That's where I got the idea to write Rose and Noah's story. I spend a couple of years gathering experiential knowledge, interviewing the kids and making observations before I tackled the novel. Best neighbors I ever had, but a lot more drama goes on than outsiders suspect. You can contact me on FB (Karen Ann Hopkins) too and let me know your thoughts on the books when read. There is a lot of interest here in northern KY and Ohio, but I'm working hard to get the word out to the YA crowd in other parts of the country.

I didn't think much to the testing, nowhere near as good as the hunger games. This is a good dystopian series -

It is quite slow in the first half, but it gets a lot better in the second half. :)

The first half is slow, it's worth it though. do you like the writing? i kinda liked the writing which made it easier to get through the slow bits for me.
The biggest problem with the series is the way the author ended the love triangle. not impressed.

Happy Spring! We haven't made it to spring yet here, but I'm actually ready for it, even though Spring is my least favorite season. We've had a really rough winter here!

It's not loading for me for some reason, I might have over-loaded it.
