Tati So, I was sorting my TBR books that release in 2015, and I was a bit shocked to see that I over a 100 books for next year!

message 5006: by Heather (new)

Heather | 10157 comments holy cow! That is a ton of books!!

message 5007: by Tati (new)

I was browsing through the harpercollins childrens summer 2015 catalogue earlier, and there are so many good looking books on there! my wishlist increased by a lot this morning!

message 5009: by Tati (new)

Tati HarperCollins has a lot of good books! Too bad they won't give me ARCs LOL

message 5010: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90920 comments Mod
I've had some bad ARCs from them though. I bet they won't do ARCs for The Heir (The Selection #4) by Kiera Cass .

message 5011: by Tati (new)

Tati Really? Which ones?

message 5012: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90920 comments Mod
I had a load of them in a row a little while back. I'll have a look ☺

Hensley
Didn't like any of those.

message 5014: by Tati (new)

Tati Hm... Some of those are on my TBR list... We do tend to disagree over books LOL

You'll probably like Snow like Ashes. Not sure about the rest!

message 5017: by Heather (new)

Heather | 10157 comments Other than Netgalley and Edelweiss do you know of any other ways to get arcs?

message 5018: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90920 comments Mod
Some blog tour sites do them, and signing up for blog tours sometimes gets you arcs. otherwise you have to try and get hold of publicists email addresses to beg them for ARCs!

message 5019: by Tati (new)

Tati You can sign up for publishing houses newsletter, they usually contain the contact info for the publicists in charge of the books.

I used to use http://xpressobooktours.com/ a lot ☺

message 5022: by Samia (new)

Samia Ruponti (snoebell92) | 451 comments thanks Sarah. Yes, that is the summery, but I sort of need the full process. I am making a business plan, so I need to know the materials that can be used, what can't be used because of environmental issues, what sort of machinery needed and most importantly, how much waste makes how much gas. If you can answer these for me, that will be very helpful.

message 5023: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90920 comments Mod
I don't know any of that, I only know the biochemistry stuff, not the business stuff, sorry! Good luck! Sounds like a in-depth project ☺

message 5026: by Tati (new)

Tati Can Amazon be trusted when it comes to publication dates? For instance, Every Last Breath (The Dark Elements, #3) by Jennifer L. Armentrout is scheduled for publication on July 28, 2015, according to Amazon. Here, on Goodreads, however, is says only 2015.

In my opinion - No. I pre-ordered Strange Fate (Night World, #10) by L.J. Smith from amazon twice when they had it on there as being released in 2011 and 2012. it still hasn't been released now.

message 5028: by Tati (new)

Tati Wow! She is worse that G.R.R. Martin!

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90920 comments Mod
Is he bad for delaying books? Strange fate should have originally been published in 1999. I don't think she's ever going to write the freaking thing!

message 5030: by Tati (new)

Tati Oh yes! I've been waiting for the next book since 2011, and, with any luck (and because the TV show needs the material), we should see it either in 2016 or 2017...

message 5031: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90920 comments Mod
Bloody hell. it's just not good enough!

message 5032: by Tati (new)

Tati The wort thing is that he seems to be doing everything but actually sitting down and writing those books...

message 5033: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90920 comments Mod
So annoying. Do you think he's written himself into a corner?

message 5034: by Tati (new)

Tati I'm pretty sure he did... He should just kill that character off (I find her pretty annoying) and move on

Wait, what? Where did you see this? :O

message 5037: by Tati (new)

Tati Well, someone made a prediction based on the pace of the series (some of the plots have already caught up to the books, like Bran's) and his writing pace for the previous books and came to the conclusion that the next one would come out no sooner than 2016...

I just googled it. Hmm. Seems like he's getting stressed. Oh well, gives me time to finish the 1½ book I have left... Not sure what to think about this...

I've give up hoping that it's going to be released. She's apparently working on a new series and an extra book for the forbidden games series. She should really be writing and releasing the book she's been promising for years instead of writing another!

message 5041: by Irene (new)

Irene (raenne) | 4856 comments Agreed Abbie. Maybe she just shouldn't promise anything :(

the thing is, on her website she has the first two chapters of it available to read, and she says all this stuff about how she's working on it but it's a long book. she's just teasing us and it's really not fair.

I haven't bothered reading those two chapters. No point in reading a sampler of something that probably won't be released.
It's freaking annoying.

onceuponatimeareview | 2335 comments I didn't come this conclusion, well doctors and other people out there think Reading is an addiction. I wouldn't say its an addiction I more say we take time out of the day to do things and work out intellectual minds instead of watching mindless shows or playing video games. Here is the link
