Chris (cdavies1951) | 2192 comments Just Finished: Sweet Enemy (Veiled Seduction, #1) by Heather Snow . The title is in white, so please add to the Black, White and Red Challenge. This was a good one! A mystery within a love story.

~Leslie~ (akareadingmachine) | 2240 comments Good morning Team!

@Kristin, I just went and read the reviews on your book. It sounds really intense. Another one added to my TBR!

@Marguerite - that one sounds really good as well.

I just finished No Control (Delta Force #2) by Shannon K. Butcher It fits for the mini challenge but not the mystery challenge. So sad. I'm about to start Red (Transplanted Tales, #1) by Kate SeRine which is for a team challenge. And it will also work for the mini challenge.

The title is in a grayish white and I'm not sure whether or not it counts toward the mini challenge."

I looked at it and it's just too gray. Sorry!

I have discovered even more books to go on my TBR as I go through the postings for the mini challenge. Y'all are posting so fast that I missed some of them the first time around. Lots of good books!!

message 1460: by ~Leslie~ (new)

~Leslie~ (akareadingmachine) | 2240 comments Saturday Update!
24 books have been read for the mini challenge so far. And 13 people have participated.

In looking over the posts for the update, I ended up with even more books on my TBR! Thanks Team!!

Rebecca NJ (njreader) | 2120 comments Hi everyone! Don't forget you have until the end of the day on March 26th to post your Mystery or Suspense book for the MARCH MONTHLY CHALLENGE

message 1464: by Leana (new)

Leana (Flickering Fandom) (flickeringfandom) | 264 comments Finished Geek Girl by Holly Smale The S-Word by Chelsea Pitcher today, which I think both count for the mini challenge (author's name in white for Geek Girl and title in black for The S-word)

Not sure what I'm starting next, but don't hold out high hopes for getting it finished in time for the mini challenge. Will just have to see how today goes!

message 1465: by ~Leslie~ (new)

~Leslie~ (akareadingmachine) | 2240 comments Good morning, Team!

I'm still working to finish my book. Pretty crazy weather where I'm living. Hope others are doing okay.

message 1466: by Rhonda (new)

Rhonda | 550 comments Thank you, Leslie. The picture is gorgeous. We had more snow overnight. Hopefully the last of the season. I'm ready for some of that sunshine.

message 1467: by Deedee (new)

Deedee | 626 comments Ah well, wound up tossing The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman after 75 pages .... actually, after 75 pages I started skimming, and skimmed the rest of the book in 20 minutes. It's not badly written, just very predictible (maybe there's a surprise on p 175 that I missed), and I didn't care for the ending. So it doesn't count for any challenges.

Currently reading Red Dust Road An Autobiographical Journey by Jackie Kay and Inherit the Stars (Giants, #1) by James P. Hogan

message 1468: by Sherri (new)

Sherri | 726 comments Finished Notorious Nineteen (Stephanie Plum, #19) by Janet Evanovich . Works for both minichallenge and March mystery challenge.

message 1469: by Leana (last edited Mar 24, 2013 03:28PM) (new)

Leana (Flickering Fandom) (flickeringfandom) | 264 comments Finished The Homecoming Masquerade by Spencer Baum , which should count for the mini challenge as the title is in white (though you need the bigger cover to really see it, from a distance the text looks purple!)

Last book of the mini challenge for me.

message 1470: by Jane (new)

Jane | 705 comments Just finished Fire Study (Study, #3) by Maria V. Snyder which should count for the mini Challenge.

Thanks for posting, everyone! I'll be working on the mini challenge results today. Great work, everyone!

@Rhonda - so strange that 30 people shelved it as mystery. I just don't think of that book that way.

@ Marla - love that series and love that author! Hope you enjoyed it.

@Chris - that looks like an exciting travel story!

message 1481: by ~Melissa~ (new)

~Melissa~ Finished Rock Hard (Sinners on Tour, #2) by Olivia Cunning this morning

message 1482: by Rhonda (new)

Rhonda | 550 comments Leslie - I don't think of it as a mystery either. Well, maybe the mystery of what in the world is wrong with Holden. I was surprised too.

message 1483: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (rebeccasg) | 3793 comments Just finished By the Pricking of My Thumbs (Tommy and Tuppence, #4) by Agatha Christie today for the mystery challenge. Only got around to reading 1 this month.

message 1484: by Gen (new)

message 1485: by Rhonda (last edited Mar 26, 2013 07:21AM) (new)

Rhonda | 550 comments I finished I Am the Cheese by Robert Cormier It has been shelved as a mystery 48 times, so it qualifies for the mystery challenge. The title and author's name are in white, so it's good for the red, white, and black challenge too.

message 1486: by Rebecca NJ (new)

Rebecca NJ (njreader) | 2120 comments Just a quick reminder - there's one more day left to post those books for the mystery challenge.

message 1487: by [deleted user] (new)

Just finished Wander Home Wander Home by Karen A. Wyle . Free book for review. The concept is good but was took way over the top, it needs to be toned down. Characters are ones you can connect with and yes even love.

Just started Dark Pursuit: The Lost Shinmahs Dark Pursuit The Lost Shinmahs by Kevan Dinn .

message 1488: by Sherri (new)

Sherri | 726 comments Finished The Best Man by Kristan Higgins . Title is white so I think that qualifies it for the mini-challenge.

message 1489: by ~Leslie~ (new)

~Leslie~ (akareadingmachine) | 2240 comments Rhonda and Sherri - did you finish your books by midnight on Sunday? That's when the mini challenge ended.

I just finished Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side (Jessica, #1) by Beth Fantaskey For those who enjoy young adult, it was cute and fun.
I'm hoping to finish my last mystery book today. I'm reading Darkness, My Old Friend by Lisa Unger and I'm also starting Rogue Rider (Lords of Deliverance, #4) by Larissa Ione

I'll be posting results from the mini Challenge later today.

When not reading I spend my life on Pinterest. Or sometimes while I'm reading. I can multitask!
