I'd be happy to vote for you Hope. Which entry is yours?

Hopefully I'll be able to actually get to sleep tonight! :)

I read Audition, The Selection, Triptych and am half way through Finnish Lessons: What Can the World Learn from Educational Change in Finland?. Quite a wide range! So you would think I would have loved one of them!
But I actually didn't much like Audition or The Selection. I suppose for Audition it might have had something to do with the way that the story translated into English? There was all of this awkward foreshadowing going on (and also, I have seen the movie, so..). The Selection wasn't my cup of tea either. The idea was really good, but I found that the only reason I wanted to keep reading was to see what would happen with the rebels/their motivations. I won't be continuing the series I am sorry to say.
I also read Triptych and am not sure I want to be responsible for recommending it to anyone. It is extremely uncomfortable to read, but that is why I... well I didn't really enjoy it. But I appreciated it for what it was. The author advocates a breaking down of sexual taboos, and this set of three stories are literary erotica, featuring bestiality and incest. If the writing and approach towards these issues had not been so downright powerful (even beautiful), I would never have been able to stomach this through to the end. Wah!
Actually, I am really enjoying Finnish lessons, but can you LOVE a book detailing the Finnish education system... :P Here is hoping this fortnight is kinder to me.
All 3 blue books ! Great Christina:)

Voted! beautiful poem.

Now I'm working on a nonfiction book that happens to be blue.

I know what you mean, Kellyanne! I really enjoyed American Psycho when I read it, and it was so well written...but I couldn't exactly recommend it to anyone, because it was so graphic and disturbing to read. :)

Now I'm reading

I find once I know the ending (aka watch the movie) I generally don't have the ambition to read the book since I "already know what going to happen" so I try to always read the book first (or just not read the book at all).

It did. It was a good series, easy reading but exciting still.

thanks,Julianne! :-)

I loved it. Love, love, loved it. I can't believe I waited so long to start this series. (I found the receipt inside the book and I apparently bought it in 2010)

I read

I haven't seen the movie or read the book (yet) but I agree seeing the movie first can help you visualize. Also I tend to pick movies apart if I've read the book.

Julianne, I discovered the series last year, too and absolutely loved the first two books.
I was told that to continue with Clay and Elena storyline the next to read would be book #6

I'm still in negotiations with my OCD-demon to let me read series books out of order.

Since I have about a 45 min drive time to and from work I am listening to audiobooks more often which is kind of a nice change ☺
I miss chatting with you all and :( sad cause I'm not here to be your personal cheerleader LOL but just know I'm thinking about you and cheering you on in mind & spirit ☺☺☺☺☺☺☺ So when you feel that little nudge to keep reading, it's me saying your cheer!!!!!

Miss you Robin :D :D and yay! For the 19 books.

But seriously...couldn't there have been a dedication page or something to fill it out to 170?!? So inconsiderate of the publisher. ;)
