On the radio today, the local yokel says this: "Studies show that teens who don't have sex tend not to get pregnant." Now I'm torn. Was it really written that way, thereby transferring my hate to the nimrods that spent money figuring out that sex=babies, or did the moron just read it wrong? Thoughts, anyone?
Okay, here’s my complaint about local news. Several years ago, I remember the local news channel airing a segment about the high cost of baby-sitters. This segment lasted almost five minutes – five minutes of people bitching about paying babysitters in excess of $5/hour. First of all, shut up cheapskates. I’m more than willing to pay good money in order to get a brief respite from my kids. I love them – they’re cuter, smarter, more pleasant, etc. than anybody else’s kids, naturally, but it’s nice to get away. Secondly, really, that’s news? There’s nothing more interesting going on in the community/state/region/country/continent/hemisphere/world/solar system/galaxy/universe?
