Yes! I think;)

Yes! I think;)
My original December choice for favourite genre (historical fiction) was The Thorn Birds by Colleen McCullough and I've borrowed it from the library, but since it is so long (I obviously wasn't thinking about the time of year when I made that decision!), I've decided to tweak my list yet again and make Lighthouse Bay by Kimberley Freeman my December read. Actually, there's some poetic justice in that, since it was going to be my female Aussie author read earlier in the year and it wasn't available at the library at the time. And since I finished it yesterday, I'm now finished my 2013 Aussie Author Challenge! I'll still read The Thorn Birds, but probably not before the end of the year.
Thanks, Brenda! It's been fun finding new Aussie authors I've never read before (and discovering some authors I didn't realise were Australian and vice versa!) - I think I've probably read more Australian authors this year as a result of this challenge than I normally would!
Good for you Kathryn. I think I'll be using my second reading of God's Panoply as my December Aussie author read in favourite genre. Annie's books always end up in my favourite genre because they make me think, hence the second read before I review on Boxing Day.

My reading of Aussie authors has certainly picked up too Kathryn...it's so nice to read new authors and discover you really enjoy them as well!

Haven't even thought about next year's list but admit it was good to read books by Aussie authors this year. Good to support our home grown authors, of which I am one.

Is it possible to swap the January Male author with February's female author? The only reason I ask is because I want to read The Harp In The South in January as part of the January challenge.
