Sorry, Jayme. This task required the book to have been read during the Winter 11-12, Spring 12, Summer 12, or Fall 12 challenges.

Hamid also does not qualify for non-Western as he has dual citizenship in both Pakistan and Britain.

Unfortunately, the goodreads database has a bad habit of defaulting to Jan. 1st if no specific date is entered for the book, as discussed in the help thread for this task.

This book appears to have been first published in March 2007.

Jayme(theghostreader) (jaymetheghostreader) | 2598 comments So does this book fit any Winter RWS task? Otherwise, I read it for nothing.

Jayme(theghostreader) (jaymetheghostreader) | 2598 comments Christine, I went back and double checked on the 10.1 and saw it was Winter 2011. So I can use it for 10.9?

I thought Winter 2011-2012 was OK...so it could be 10.1, Jayme, couldn't it?

Jayme(theghostreader) (jaymetheghostreader) | 2598 comments I will doubler check again.

Jayme(theghostreader) (jaymetheghostreader) | 2598 comments The first entry that someone read it was Fall 2011 so it won't work for 10.1.
