Not a problem there, Mr. Elf ;)

Miss ..."
Great thanks, Mr. Elf! I didn't know we could get points for alternate covers!!

No. That book does count for plot points, not for cover points.

no drama if it doesn't - just wanted to check

Mary, what's the link to the song? Just double-checked the lyrics, but they don't mention a road. Sorry, just wondering if I'm missing something?

no dram..."
Damiellar, thanks for clarifying. If most of the action is set in the town, then no, it wont count as setting, sorry :-( I got your hopes up for no reason.

it's all good :)

Would this count toward the plot?

You're completely right, under setting it says road trip. I took that to mean a story where the setting was a travelling by car kind of thing, long hours travelling from point A to point B, rather than literally travelling by any road. No wonder there was confusion, lol. I might ask Nick to clarify.

"A book where the characters spend a large chunk of the time travelling from one place to another, fits the setting. But road on its own doesn't really link to the song, so a road on the cover wont get any points."
I know you've changed your book choice, just wanted to clarify.

Would this count toward the plot?"
Just checked for you Lauren, I'm unclear whether the travelling that's taking place is taking place for most of the book or just a few scenes / chapters.
I think it would count for plot, not for setting, but if you find that they do spend a lot of time travelling in the story, let me know and we can amend. Alternatively, if anyone else has already read the book, can you clarify?

It's not a whole beach scene, but there's beach stuff. And would the plural friends count for title, or does it have to be singular?

There are several scenes set in a garden at a country estate and in a cabin in the woods - would this count for setting?

Sure, Ab2y! As long as it links to the song and is more than 150 pages, you can read what you like, even if someone in your team is also reading it. No problem.

* Self to note read the Rules before starting (anything) .
Obsidian - part of the lux trilogy!
Points for dark cover and plot points for MC being welcomed to new community and MC helping out a friend?
Will that do?

Yes Karen. That book will get you cover and plot points = 6 points altogether. Sounds like a fascinating read!
