@khan welcome to the group :)
Hi all...!Assalam u alaikum..
Daniyal here. I just joined the goodreads.com a few minutes ago. This is the first group that i peeped in and it looks like i am at the right place.
I am Studying Chartered Accountancy and Have already completed my MBA.
I was always into reading great literature but my academic routine insured that i abandoned it. However, my Bachelors in English Literature helped ignite the long gone spark again. NOW I AM HERE TO THRIVE ON THAT.
I Read Classic Literature, fiction, fantasy, Humor, and anything and everything that is good.
Sohaib wrote: "@Daniyal welcome to the group matee!! :-)which module? or are you of the new scheme?? :-)"
Sohaib bro I am in module E. Doing my articles from DFK international Rizwan and Co.
@Khan Welcome to the group. I was active on Quora .. once upon a time. and btw I'm also a software engineer. :)@Daniyal Welcome bro :)

I wanted be a systems developer.. never got to it. I have done small jobs in that area. But Mean Stack, Nodejs is my way for now..
@Sohaib: KPMG?
No offense guys...but do we actually discuss something related to books.Sounds like you are IMing here
You are probably right. But we do discuss books and ideas too, sometimes. And nobody will stop you if you want to discuss books. (Last time I did, it ended in a fight. :P)It's a diverse group, with no limitations. And we have a lot of amazing, intellectual members such as, Maira Rao, faheem Lara ahmed sohaib zarnab and others.
@Waqar its one of the big fours in auditing field :-P@Ayesha in this thread actually we dont discuss any books... we only introduce ourselves and get to know each other... we have threads to discuss books... u can find thise threads if you browse through the group. But i dont remember your introduction. what genre fo u like? :-)
Oh wow waqar thank you for including me among the intellectuals.Exactly there's plenty about reading and books you just have to find the right thread
Glad you explained.I guess i am still exploring all the options.i will definitely try out the threads.Um i guess i read anything that strikes my fancy.
@Lara... from what little i have seen in the group you definitely are THE MOST Intellectual one here.@Sohaib... WOW KPMG... that's great brother... i to have some few friends there in the Lahore wing.
Yes, I agree because, firstly she is a teacher and secondly she is a published author.@Ayesha From what I have seen and read I think Lara started her novel here in this group... and completed it here, too :) You can find that thread somewhere...3

Well. Well. Well !!!A thriller-junky here. :D
I'm into final year of Masters (Finance) but I am desperately in love with books.
Looking forward to meet with some like-minded peeps.

Don't worry, I guess it's available in Islamabad. But you can ask @Lara. She'd know better.
@Sohaib hahaha
and I don't know a thing about auditing.. and I am very ignorant(usually) of what's happening around me.
@Waqar its nothing much...except we go and see if everything is happening correctly in companies and that no one is trying to defraud another :P
@Daniyal @Ayesha @Mujahid
Welcome to the group, Hope you guys like it here :)
@Waqar, Thanks for the compliment, but it's rather unfair to put me right next to Ms Lara, she is way way ahead of me. :)

Thanks for your interest Ayesha. The Lost Pearl is available in all major bookstores in Pakistan. Outside Pakistan, mostly online. It's true that this group has been a phenomenal support ( in both encouragement and sound critique)
My first book was published when I joined but the second one was literally born here, so I shared parts of it as I wrote and received some very constructive feedback.
In fact Owaiz here told me about Readings who ended up publishing in Pakistan. I've also included the Pakistani readers group in my acknowledgements section for Torn Pages.
Thx again all for your kind words and undeserving compliments.
The own words section contains excerpts of writing from myself and other members.
