Yikes, I had forgotten this round was gonna be a bit different in claiming points. I kept wondering why we hadn't shown up on the spreadsheet yet! LOL
I am so sorry guys. I had every intention of posting my review today but I literally laid in bed tryin to get more sleep for at least 3-4 hrs. I can usually lay in bed and read and knock right out. But I laid in bed and finished a book and read about 100 pages into another one. I will post my one for the bone today probably late evening as I will be getting of sometime between 10a and 2p and I need to catch some zzzzs!

Review:
This is my first Sophie Kinsella book and it will definitely not be my last. It was adorable and made me laugh out loud. I mean imagine walking around and trying to pretend you are not talking to a ghost and everyone is looking at you like you are crazy. It is absolutely hilarious. This book is sweet and makes you truly appreciate those that you take for granted. It is good to know your history and to know yourself. It had some powerful messages behind it for being a chick lit book.
The only reason I knocked it down a notch as far as points was that Lara was so deluded about life and extremely clingy with Josh. However Sadie was a nice counteract to her and was a great person to give her a good reality check.
Bone: But there’s a tight pressing feeling behind my cheekbones, and my bottom lip would be trembling if I allowed it.
Sunshine: In her other hand I can just see Sadie’s necklace, wrapped around her fingers, glinting in the sunshine.
Hood: Two huge guys in hoodies are having a loud argument while a policeman is trying to calm them down, and I back away to what looks like a safe corner.
Bike: Dad arrived at Mum’s house, all sweaty because he’d been riding on his bike, and she’d been crying but she pretended she had a cold, and they made up their fight and Granny gave them tea and shortbread.

wooohoooo wtg Meghan! I don't know if I have ever read a book by Sophie Kinsella but that one sure sounds fun!

So I decided I would post something today before I left for their house. So I have slept a total of 5 1/2 hours in 48 hours. I am a little sleepy... and will probably try to go to sleep here soon and maybe I will see the new one in the morning.

Review: Third book in the Graveyard Queen series. I really enjoyed this series. Amelia restores graveyards and can see ghosts. In this installment, a few ghosts come to her for help and Amelia gets sucked into a world of black magic and voodoo. The series could end here, but I hope there will be more in the future.

Review: This series is ok. It's not my favorite but it's alright. The dialogue irritates me and the narrator on the audiobook just makes the story REALLY cheesy. However, I don't know if it would be any less cheesy if I just read it myself.

Time Off for Good Behavior by Lani Diane Rich
Review - I didn't fall in love with this book right away; in fact I was typically bored early on and wanted to just chunk it mainly because I don't think I liked Wanda and her smart ass mouth and attitude but after taking a moment to step back and re-evaluate my way of thinking I saw her in a new light and my whole perspective of Wanda changed and I began to enjoy the book a bit better.
Initially I was thinking of her as crabby and foul mouthed but then I took into consideration some of the things she had been thru, even though alot of it was her own doing, and that she wasn't always this way and after a while it genuinely seemed she wanted to change but had no clue where to start. I went from hating her character, to feeling sorry for her, and by the end of the book I was all "You go girl!"
If you've ever had an identity crisis or just plain out felt there was no help for yourself then I think you will totally enjoy this one.
Sunshine Week - (Completed 12/18/2012 - 3/5 stars)
You can't enjoy sunshine if you've never been in the dark.(page 48)

Review: This series is growing on me, my goal is to catch up by the end of the year, but we'll see. I'm enjoying how all the characters from the previous books are included in this one rather than just the main two love interests. It's nice that those previous stories were not forgotten and have progressed through time.

Review:
This book was basically mediocre in my opinion. It had a fairly good flow and just sort of went along. The writing wasn't awful or great the story wasn't awful or great. Then I realized I was about 100 pages into the book and it was supposed to be a vampire book and there were no vampires. What in the world!
Well then she decided that a couple of pages later, she would introduce the main character as a vampire and all the la-di-da that goes with it. Talk about weird. That knocked it down a half star in my opinion.

Oh well, I think I will read the next book to see where this series leads to, but not sure how long I will stay with the series.
As far as the characters, I didn't really like either the heroine or the hero in the book. I only liked the side characters: Balthazar, Raquel, Vic, and Patrice. They all seemed to have more personality than either of the main characters had. Balthazar was the nice guy that was always just that nice to everyone no matter who you were. He never placed judgement before he knew who you were. Raquel was a little spitball who let people know how she felt. Vic was a crazy guy that I think I would love to meet one day and possibly be friends with. He is just so nice and carefree. Patrice may seem like the bitch of the story, but she had these nice streaks that took away from that and you knew that she could be nice deep under if not vain.
