I hate the back of books

Did you guys see him on The Daily Show the other day? He was LOL-ing all over the place. I loved it! It almost makes me want to start shopping at Amazon again...

I don't understand Ketiil's original complaint in this thread. The back of the pocketbook gets ugly lines. Isn't a pocketbook a wallet? I don't get it.

Paperback are designed to be twisted, stuffed into pockets, written-on, in, etc.
My beautiful copy of Crime and Punishment is pretty much demolished, as I'm a hundred pages from the end and I typically shove it in my purse or roll onto it in my sleep. I've sure enjoyed it, though.
Of course, Nick thinks I only read "Moosey Moose."
I leave it on my bed. With about 983457 other books.
I have a nightstand. It has lots of books on it. And a snail statue.

Mainly because I get braided by my wife often for the condition of my books when I am done reading them. My wife is the type that will kill if the cover is molested in any way.
She also collects non-personalized signed first edition books. She has been on a kick for the last year or two about me building an environmentally controlled library to store her valuable books in. humidity and temp control. Bookshelves with glass doors and all that. I drew up some real nice plans but have not started as of yet.

Hi, I'm new, and I joined to express my hate for pocketbooks which when read get ugly lines on the back, where the book twists and bends when I read them. I hate those lines so much. Ruins my books. Stupid lines.
