Andrea | 620 comments Hi UM,

I'm a little late visiting. I just watched "Mama Mia" for the first time on Monday. It was awesome! I never knew Meryl Streep could sing. She's good.

Nice word count! Keep it up :)

Yeah, my daughter saw it when it came out and she loved it, but I don't go to the movies often (except twice for Twilight...Edward is worth it) *leans over to look in Dee's cubi and bats eyelashes at Edward*

Hi Edward *sigh*

Oh, where was I? Oh yeah... so when I saw it the other night, is was my first time, too. It really is a fun, feel good movie! Glad you enjoyed it :)

Happiness is so over-rated."

Angst is good, but the first two chapters of my story are so angst filled, I was worried people might start slitting their wrists unless I lighten the mood a bit. ROFL

Oh poo :)

Your first chapter was filled with devotion and love :)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Well, that's one way to look at it.

A friend read it and said she loved Thaddeus' absolute, utter devotion to Keera. I was glad that came through :)

Well Yeah! You wrote it beautifully!

Oh, and I have a secret to tell you about Tristan...if you want to know that is {insert way evil grin here}

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Bad, bad Dee! Well, YES! I want to know... [image error]

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish NO WAY! I Can't wait to hear more.... Oh, that is way too cool, Dee...way too cool! When will that little tid bit get out?

I knew that he could not be a vampire because he had a heartbeat.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish OK, well...you will keep sharing with me right? I ALWAYS have time for Tristan *blushing*

Yes, I really do need to get those hormones checked.

Tis "your" story. Without you I would not have turned the short story into a novel :]

So, yes, I promise to keep sharing. As long as you promise to keep sending me pages of your work!

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Oh, of course I'll keep sending the story to you...you're as instrumental in my writing of it as you say I am to your story. It's great fun to have a good girlfriend to share it with! :)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish You know, there's just something about an other-than-human character that I really enjoy. They are so much more tormented than a mere human. I love tormented :)

Yipeprs tomented is a "good-thang"

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Here's a question...

How do you all handle it when you have a character with a very heavy accent, and you want the reader to understand the pronunciation of a word..for example, where the word means KILLED, my character would pronounce it KILT. Would you write it like kill't? Or how would you do it?

Thanks in advance!

message 167: by Paul (new)

Paul OK, what have I done?

Why aren't you guys talking to me anymore?

Yes, I'm insanely busy, but I still welcone the chat :)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Hi Paul! I'm not ignoring you, I just felt that I had nothing worthwhile to contribute! I'll come chat with you :)

Here I come!

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish My thought for the day:

Should the Department of Aging be called the DOA?

message 170: by Andrea (new)

Andrea | 620 comments ROTFL

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish *sigh*

A paltry 343 words today. Though, I must admit I was doing a lot of rewrite and I'm not counting those words.

Sweet Dreams, everyone!

Paul Well, given the speed at which Government departments work, Dead on Arrival is quite appropriate :)

BRB, need to call tech support.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Yeah, I got your 'test' mail!

They are a blessing and a curse, are they not?

No, just a curse!
Sorry, I have a love/hate relationship with my computer. Reminds me of the new Kelly Clarkson song...

Paige Miller | 4362 comments LOL I can't seem to let Cassie be happy for a second. I'm already planning her next torture. :) It makes me happy to be evil.

*backs away from an angry, sledge-hammer wielding Cassie *

I'm sorry! It's not my fault! The voices in my head are forcing me to do it!

*screeches* CASSIE! PUT IT DOWN OR I'LL KILL OFF DEVON!!!

Ha. I knew that would work. :)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish *hides all my breakable Tinkerbells and ducks under a table*

Who is Cassie and why is she weilding a sledge-hammer in my cubi?

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Oh, it looks like I got moved! :(

Oh well... word count for March 5, 2008 448

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Oh, Julie! I adore pecan pie, nigh unto worship it, even. Thank you!

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Dee,
Yes, yes, they gave me the penthouse suite. They heard I needed additional inspiration and thought the view might do it. Though I won't be able to visit Edward as often, I have a nice view of those tanned males on the beach!

*rolls eyes* I could hear that growl all the way up here, Edward.

Thanks for dropping by!

Just feel better, ok?

Tell Edward he's welcome to come visit with me anytime but he can't bite my dogs. I'm thinking I might rent Austrailia tonight. Hubby's away til tomorrow night so it might keep me company...

Though, I'm having a blast with Mag, Simon and Emma today! Word count already over 1300 and I'm not done!

*hugs*

Outstanding word count UM

Took me a few minutes to catch on to what you were saying when you said...you were renting Austrailia. The first thing that ran through my mind was..."I didn't know Austrailia was for rent" the second thing that came to mind was ..."Gosh, I wonder how much it cost to rent ALL of Austrailia"...I personally would go for Perth or Sydney ;]

That was just toooo funny! I'll let ya know how it is. Another friend asked me to pause the movie at the part where someone pours a bucket of water over himself, I'm supposed to pause the movie and make the sign of the cross for her because she says he is sooooo hot! ROFL

Andrea | 620 comments Oh, my gosh...I think she must be on pain pills for her mouth ;) I REALLY want to see that movie. Let me know how it is. I can order it on PPV now.

Is your friend talking about Hugh Jackman? Or is there another hottie in the movie? Enjoy it!
