What you got on the people eating on the subway/bus department??? I think that’s the one thing that one day is going to put me on the news!

This is why, since I retired in June, I have, for the most part, become a hermit. I go out only when absolutely necessary and then I try to get everything finished in one day so only have to see people one day out of seven. I taught school, midle and high, and worked at our arena and performing arts center and Universal Studios, and I've had all I can or will stand from these "people of entitlement." Books, and TV are as close as I need to come to people.

For what it's worth, I watched the movie "Gandhi" the other day, and it actually helped. That's the best I can give you at this time.
I currently love the world. It's like a teeter-totter in my brain. Later I might come across some Truck Nutz and it will tip the other way.

This stuff always makes me think of Noam Chomsky quoting from "business literature" -- the actual source of which I've never yet researched -- which apparently describes the qualities of the "ideal consumer" (read: the kind individual most likely to go out and buy whatever you tell them to). Apparently the ideal consumer is someone who is: 1) hopeless and 2) focused on trivialities.
The more you think about this, the more interesting it becomes. Also interesting is the fact that the science of manufacturing public character has a long and well-documented history of success. So who indeed is breeding all these awful human beings?
Whatever this is worth to you....
