Hi all! I'm Jennifer from California and I'm both a writer and reader of paranormal romance and urban fantasy. So this group is perfect!
Hi! I'm Ashley Swisher, I'm from a tiny town in Iowa and a bookaholic! I grew up in a library (well okay not IN the library ;) ) My mom was the librarian for most my childhood, so summers were spent hanging out with her, watching the hubbub of the town library. It's funny what a kid can remember, the smell of daily coffee mixed with crisp books, the arguing of old men and women over the daily news paper and price of crops. ;) Done reminiscing, promise! I loveee the paranormal romance genre, and glad to meet other to share the love with! In between reading and writing my first YA paranormal romance series, I am a mom to three and law school widow, I mean wife, to an overambitious hubby ;).
Hi guys I'm Sammy :) 21 years old and full time student studying Psychology (will hopefully graduate with my degree this year although I'm not sure what I will be doing after that). I find that because of education, worries, etc I find myself stressed out and reading is my escape - allowing my to live the life of someone else for just a short while (sounds pretty sad to be honest lol). But anyway, that's me! :)
Good morning, I'm Luan, 21, RJ, Brazil.I am not attached to books cheesy, queasy me quickly. I love suspense and would like recommendations over time.
Currently I'm reading different themes to see if I'll like it as much suspense, when Morrigan's Cross by Nora Roberts. It's interesting so far.
Hugs and Happy 2013 to all!
My favorite paranormal book until now is

(Crowd droans Hello)
I think I first realized that I had a problem when I sent out fake wedding invitations as an April fools joke one year, telling everyone that I was engaged to my favorite character (not telling, so don't ask).
However, instead of everyone reacting how I thought they would by saying "Hehe, that was pretty funny," most of them reacted with concern, thinking that I was serious and that I needed professional help.
That is when I thought, "Hmmm, If I'm giving off a vibe that makes people think I would do something like that seriously, I need to rethink my life a little bit."
I'm much more adjusted now, but I still keep a copy of the wedding invitation in my desk just to remind me not to over share when I meet new people.
Crap, I think I just over shared...
Hello everyone. I am one of the few men you'll find in this discussion, reading this genre, who also writes in this genre. As a teen I read novels that would today be classified as UF, but back then it was horror: Stephen King, Clive Barker, Robert R. Mccammon, Peter Straub. I gobbled up horror, sci-fi, and some of the really good fantasy from the late 80's and early 90's. It wasn't until 2008 that I discovered this wonderful thing they call Urban Fantasy-Paranormal Romance.
I tore through everything I could find back then, Sookie Stackhouse, Anita Baker, Black Dagger, Children of the Moon, and yes, even Twilight (I enjoyed the books and the movies).
I guess I am just a vampire geek at heart. No dentally implanted fangs, no goth wear, but I do like black. LOL.
As far as my personal flair goes: I was told "Travis Luedke writes like a woman" by Bookie Nookie from Erotic Enchants, and one of my critique partners called me a "soppy romantic".
I am always looking for something new and interesting in this genre, and I also do my best to provide that in my own work.
One of my CP's writes BDSM erotic romance, so lately I find myself delving into that arena.....
Hello! My name is Celeste ~ I live in Texas (USA) ~ I'm married and have two daughters ~ age 16 and 15 ~I'm mostly a WITCH fan, but I love Vampires and Werewolves too. Well, if we want to get specific, just make it magical, immortal, shifting or gothic in any way and I probably love it. I look forward to meeting everybody!!!
Hi everyone, I'm A.J. and of course I love UF and PNR. I'm also an author and my favorite genre to write has become UF. I'm currently reading Iron Crowned by Richelle Mead. Looking forward to being part of this group =)
Hello, name is Zoe Forward. I'm a voracious reader of paranormals from N.C., and I write action-adventure paranormal romances about hot badboys that are a new kind of hero. I know we've all read our fair share of vampires, weres, fae, shapeshifters and demons...and loved 'em all. But sometimes we need something fresh. In DAWN OF A DARK KNIGHT I created a new kind of hero called a Scimitar magi and, whoa, are these guys hot. My debut officially releases March 1, 2013 (insert SQUEE) but it's available as a limited special through Amazon right now.
It is so good to read these posts and know that there are others just as addicted to PNR as me. :)
Hey group, I'm Valerie du Sange and I write paranormals. Well, one so far and working hard on the second. I love making a believable world with characters you care about. Looking forward to talking books with you! :)
Hello everybody,Im Irene, from the Netherlands, I love everything fantasy/mythology/fairtale related books. I have a vampire obsession, which started when I was very young (there was this german show Der Kleine Vampir, it gave me some nightmares but I think that's when the obsession started, (in a good way, books and movies only). I love JRR Tolkien, L.J Smith and Christopher Paolini among lots of others!
Hey all,I've using goodreads for a long time and had an account but never really joined groups or wrote reviews but I've loved reading peoples reviews (some of them by Laura). They actually helped me decide to give some books a try that I wouldn't have bothered to read before.
So I am kind of new in this reviewing, writing thing and joining discussions etc..
I turned 18 this January but I've reading books and especially romance books as long as I can remember.I live in England and love the season winter which is great since here we don't have that much of other seasons anyways.
And since I just turned 18, before I sneaked books or asked my older sis to buy them for me :).
I like writing poetry and love reading paranormal romance which started when I read The Night World series by L.J Smith.
I feel like I'm babbling....anyways now I love reading books by sherrilyn kenyon, nalini singh and Kresley cole.

Hi all,My name's Elizabeth Gannon. I just discovered Goodreads the other day, and have been having a great time looking around. For some reason, I really like looking at all the little cover icons. It makes things seem so orderly and neat. :)
Let's see, I prefer books about imperfect people doing imperfect things. I'm usually the person voting for the bad guy. Vader should be killing the Ewoks, Draco is so much more awesome than Rocky, Cobra could beat GI Joe, Maleficent should destroy Sleeping Beauty, etc. Don't know why, really. It usually makes reading some books a pain though, as I honestly like the bad guy more than the hero. I totally would have picked him. ;)
I like comic books, cheesy movies and songs from the 80's. I'm a writer, and am currently attending graduate school. Favorite TV shows at the moment are Game of Thrones, Once Upon a Time, and Supernatural.
Hi, name is Gynnie from NZ.Wasn't really into all these Paranormal and Fantasy books cause I found them too dumb BUUTTTTT I changed my tune when I read my first ever Paranormal just last year. Which was Samson's Lovely Mortal by Tina Folsom and the Sherrily Kenyon's books. I can't believe I bought all the series *crazy right* not only that I went on to read JR Ward's and I also bought her series. Cannot believe I'm addicted and now its hard to even find more better than these writers. I know they are out there but once I come across one that captures my eye and heart no doubt I'm buying that.
Glad our found this group to join. Hopefully I get more recommendations and invites hehe *waves*.
Hiya,My name is Jen and I used to read a lot of paranormal romance in my younger days (Ann Rice anyone?), but now read a lot more in the urban fantasy genre. Have just started trying to really get back into reading and becoming a part of the PNR/UF community. :)

Hi, everyone. I'm Armada. I've been reading a lot of urban fantasy and paranormal romance lately. Especially love Sookie Stackhouse. I got hooked when I bought a used copy of Living Dead in Dallas. I write horror, and often add romance to it, so I decided to read a few urban fantasies and paranormal romance novels. Now I can't stop reading them.

Hi Everyone. Hope I'm posting in the right spot. Was born and raised in VA and reside in Florida. Actually have long enough to use Hey and Ya'll quite a bit.
I'm a huge fan girl of Paranormal Romance. All romance really, but to tend to get pulled easier to the dark side. Heard they have cheesecake and all that.
Have a bazillion children and keep thinking I should be living in some large shoe.
I hate spiders and love snakes. Might be because I've been tagged twice by a brown recluse and once by a black widow. (She doesn't play-just saying)
I'm an author. I wee-wee'd yesterday when I found out USA Today mentioned my name. (They did bounced all over the house to the mortification on my kids)
I hate cleaning bathrooms and don't get what's so hard about putting toilet lids down.
Well. That sums me up.
:)

Hi all! I live in Southern Nevada, adore UF and spend my time reading, writing and interviewing authors for my website and podcast. When I'm not doing those things, I teach college, play MMOs or curl up with my dogs and my Kindle.I listen to musicals and film soundtracks, love peanut butter fudge and my favorite seasons are spring and fall when I can put the top down on the car and not freeze or die of heat here in the high desert.
I'm looking forward to seeing what the group is recommending to read and expanding my virtual library.
Hi. My name is Tanya. I'm a 28 yr old mother of four from Sydney , Australia. I tend to read anything from PNR and UF but I always prefer my childhood obsession of Vampires. I read pretty much anything in the PNR realm but I do tend to stray from time to time. Some of my favorite authors right now are Charlaine Harris, Keri Arthur, Jeaniene Frost, Kerrelyn Sparks, Christine Feehan, Karen Marie Moning, JR Ward...the list really could go on.
