Anne Mikusinsi (abghostwriter) | 155 comments Hi, I'm Anne, and I have been reading since I was three years old. I'm never w/o a book in my hand, and I read constantly whenever chance I get. I love almost every kind of story, as long as it's told well.
I am partial to romantic suspense, mysteries of all sorts, and paranormal.
I'm currently working on my first novel, which is paranormal suspense/romance. It's a challenge. I've known for a very long time that I am a writer.
I love to cook, and listen to music.
I also write poetry.
I will live and die a proud fangirl, and I carry huge torches for Alton Brown and Warren Zevon.
Yeah, I'm a bit....different. :P Feel free to friend me!

Tianna Xander (tiannaxander) | 17 comments Hello, everyone. I'm Tianna and I'm very new to the group. I'm not quite sure how to navigate the forums just yet, but I'll endeavor to adhere to all of the rules here.

Currently, I'm both an author and I have a day job. Suprisingly enough, most of us do have day jobs. I write mostly paranormal and sci-fi romances, but I do have a few time travel romances as well.

I love reading paranormal romances such as Christine Feehan's Dark series, Lyndsay Sands Arjeaneau series and almost anything by Sandra Hill and Sherrilyn Kenyon among others.

I like to think I'm an approachable person and a bit irreverent if not downright weird. I hope I don't scare anyone. LOL

If you want to know something, please don't be afraid to ask.

Tianna

Renee Trull (tiggertrull) | 64 comments Hi Ya'll! I just realized I have not introduced myself!
Hi, I'm Renee from Virginia and I love Vampire stories!I am still finding my way around Goodreads. I hated reading until I discovered Anne Rice in High School, I have been a vampire addict ever since.
I recently read the Twightlight Series, the Night Huntress Series and just read the first book of the Black Dagger Brotherhood. So many different Vampires so little time.

Rachel the Book Harlot | 114 comments Hi Renee! I love the Night Huntress series and the BDB series too. Those are two of my faves. :)

Tmonique Stephens | 12 comments Hi Everyone,

I'm Tmonique Stephens. I write paranormal romance and I read a lot of different things. Of course I love paranormal romance but I also read horror, action, spy, and thriller. My favorite authors are JR Ward, Stephen King, Tom Clancy, Dean Koontz, Karen M Moning, CL Wilson LJ McDonald.
I'm tired of vampires and werewolves, but I've read and re-read BDB so many times that I swear they're a part of my family.

message 965: by [deleted user] (new)

Hi Group, I'm Scarlet, call me Scar for short. I'm excited to be here, as I am a writer in the genre. This genre does everything for me. I am addicted to the books as well as the shows like TrueBlood and Vampire Diaries. Yeah I do YA paranormal romance too. I am looking for some friends here with great reccommendations and I would also like to self promote my book according to site rules of course. Ha! I'm fun, loving, 28, mother of three boys and married 6 years. It's been a long ride, but I finally published my paranormal romance novel and now I'm relaxing. Getting some reading in. You can't read when you write. It's annoying. I'm a bit behind, so hit my with some recs.

Angela~twistedmind~ (twistedmind) | 29 comments Hello, all! I'm Angela and I'm a bookaholic with no plans to reform.......fairly new to GR and just found this group. I'm married to Mr. Tall and Bald and ours is a spectacular romance. Two girls, well, women now. And one dachshund who is spoiled far too much and corrected far too infrequently. I read several genres......paranormal romance, supernatural, horror, mystery, psychological thriller....the list is long. I will read just about anything. Catch me at the doc's with nothing to read but GQ? I'm all about it. I have to read every.single.day. If I don't I lie in bed trying to figure out what it is I forgot to do. It's also my sedative. I can't tell you how many times I've been rudely awakened by a hardback book plopping down on my nose. So, that is me pared down to a paragraph or two. I'm hoping to meet several fellow bibliophils and hopefully make a few friends.

I can so relate, Angela. I've more than once woke myself up by a book smacking me in the face. There are just times you so want to finish a book...but sleep sneaks up on you anyways.

Welcome to the group!

My name I Monikka and I am a proud mother of 3 beautiful girls and have been married for 15 years.

Can't wait to start participating in some of the monthly challenges!

I joined the site to try and find recommendations for new books to read.

message 972: by Lori (new)

Lori Toland (loritoland) Hi, I'm Lori Toland! I'm new to posting here so please be kind. I've been lurking for a bit, trying to learn the ropes.

I'm a little mystified by Goodreads groups so I tend to get lost on the boards here.

I hope to get some good recs on PNR/UF erotic romance if possible.

so Hi!

message 973: by Kassey (new)

Kassey (wordsnmotion) | 2 comments Hello Everyone!

I'm a little new to the group. I actually stumbled upon Goodreads through a friend and have been learning how everything works.

I'm an avid reader of everything and anything and just recently jumped into the PNR/UF world. The genre is starting to become my favorite. I think my love for the genre started with the Black Dagger Brotherhood series and just spiraled from there.

I also love reading Young Adult and Mystery novels. James Patterson is starting to become an addiction. Honestly, I think I'd read anything so long as it takes me away from the monotony of Business textbooks.

So that's my little blurb about me, I'm looking forward to your suggestions and recommendations.

=D ~Kassey~

message 977: by Cassie (new)

Cassie | 6 comments Hey Everyone! I'm Cassie and new to the whole Goodreads site and the group. So I'm just getting started. I love to read! I mostly read paranormal romances and urban fantasy, but I'm always willing to read to new stuff. I'm in my last year of working on my B.A for Elementary Education. My husband is an Paramedic, so I can always find plenty of time to read while he is on his 24s. We have two super cute cats. So between my book addiction, my cats, school and my husband I stay pretty busy.

Some of my favorite authors include H.P Mallory, Stephanie Nelson, Caroline Hanson and J.R. Ward to name a few.

Anyone can add me as a friend as I'm always excited to meet new people and share books!

Cassie (inlibrislibertas) | 16 comments Greetings to all.

My name is Cassie Ploutz and I absolutely LOVE the Paranormal Romance genre!! Though I do like Fantasy,Sci-fi,Slice of life,Erotica and Historical, Paranormal Romance is definitely my top addiction.

I am glad I found this group because it is just what I was searching for! I don't know many others that like Paranormal Romance so this was a great find.

Looking forward to discussions and possibly making a new friend amongst my fellow book lovers. :)

Cassie | 6 comments Thanks L.J!! That is funny because I'm actually a Cassandra but everyone just calls me Cassie :0)

Are you still working on your novel or have you released it yet? I wouldn't mind reading a book when the heroine and I share the same name lol

message 983: by Julianne (new)

Julianne | 40 comments Hi everyone. My name is Julianne and I'm a paranormal book addict. It's a relatively recent discovery and I'm completely overwhelmed by the amount of books that I've discovered I have to read. lol. I like it all, urban fantasy, PNR, YA, adult. I'm very interested in dystopian, especially after reading Matched.

message 984: by Anne (new)

Anne Mikusinsi (abghostwriter) | 155 comments Hi, I'm Anne, and paranormal is one of my favorite genres. I love werewolf books the best, but my one qualification is that if someone is a werewolf, they must have chest hair as a human...otherwise it makes no sense...hey, I'm odd.
And that's what I write, too, so..

message 985: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine (jazzydjay) | 1 comments Hi everyone! My name is Jasmine and I'm an admitted book junkie. If I'm not busy doing something else I'm reading.

I'm kinda new to Goodreads (I usually just lurk), so please be kind. I'm still trying to get my bearings around here. :)

message 986: by PepperP0t (new)

Jasmine -- we all lurked once upon a time
Anne -- we like odd, you've found your twins (for lack of a better term)
Julianne -- you've started the road to further addiction

message 987: by Kaitlyn (new)

Kaitlyn Davis (kaitlyn_davis) | 13 comments Hi everyone! I just joined Goodreads a few months ago and am finally getting around to joining some groups! I absolutely love YA paranormal romance (I write it a bit too) but I wanted to broaden my horizons and find some adult paranormal! So far, I have the Sookie Stackhouse series on my radar and I loved the Kitty And The Midnight Hour series. I've read the Anita Blake series too, but I'm not super into erotica, which I find so much in adult books. I'd love to find some cleaner but still fantasy-filled books!

Can't wait to get to know everyone :)

message 988: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mamolo (s_e_mamolo) | 8 comments Hello everyone:

My name is Sharon Mamolo and I too am an addict. My favorite present this year was my Books A Million gift card. My hubby knows that I prefer books over diamonds every day. Lucky him.

I'm a high school teacher in Louisiana and reading is my perfect escape. I'm not sure exactly when Paranormal / Urban fantasy became a disease ... likely around the time 'Misfits of Science' was on TV. If you know what I'm talking about you're showing your age.

The romance part is easy. I fell in love with Mr. Darcy and Prince charming. I still read trashy historical romances at least once a month. It's junk food for the mind and I need my junk food.

There are so many books out there that I'm happy to be able to see what others are reading and their opinions. I am one of those readers that will definitely put a book down and bemoan the fact that I lost X amount of my time reading it. If someone else could go through the trouble for me ... well thanks.

I'm not exactly tech savy, though I've had an unexpected crash course lately. Usually, if I have a question about blogs / websites / filters I ask one of my students. They might not be able to form a sentece in the present rogressive tense but they sure can circumvent the school filter when needed.

message 990: by Kris (new)

Kris | 3 comments Hello.

My name is Kristy. I love to read and seem to always have one nearby (the invention of the e-reader saves my purse from being so heavy nowadays). I love a great story, especially one with a dash of romance thrown in. I seem to be leaning towards fantasy and paranormal a lot lately, so I thought I'd find some more good reads and pass on some of my favourites. Nice to meet y'all.

message 991: by Teresa (new)

Teresa Lloyd (steelerlady) | 68 comments Hi, my name is Teresa and believe it or not I hated reading until I turned 44yr. and my daughter in law talked me into reading "Twilight" LOL.... it is a funny thing because I am 48yr. now and I have turned into what I call a book junkie LOL.... I now love to read since finding the paranormal books. I have been disable for 11yrs now and reading is one of my favorite things, well next to spending time with family. I have actually found myself staying up until wee hours of the morning due to the fact that I just can not put my book down LOL.... So I give thank to my daughter in law and God for giving me this wonderful gift.
