I'm not sure. I've been on here for less than a year. And I didn't join the group till well after I was a member of Goodreads. So I guess it depends how long you were on hiatus. =)

message 854: by [deleted user] (new)

Ahh, then maybe not :)
I was on here around feb '10 <
It's so funny, seeing old posts of mine on here with 'deleted member' on top. *sigh* it's actually quite depressing.

Aww I'm sorry. You'll get back into the swing of things though.

message 856: by [deleted user] (new)

Don't be sorry, there is no need. :)
And i hope so. It's just a pitty that none of my old friends are online yet (>.<)

Shalisha (spelmangrad) | 0 comments Hi All,

I'm Shalisha and have been lurking around for several months - though not too active and think it might be about time. I've been reading novels since the I read The Dlsie Dinsmore story when I was 7, however soon moved on to bodice rippers. While I've literally gone through and purged over 5,000 romance novels, I am totally dedicated to Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy now.

Read Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunters, or J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood Series. I could name more but those would keep anyone busy for a while. ;)

Quite a few people in my family read paranormal romance, they guys seemed to like Patrica Briggs, Mercy Thompson series as well as Karen Chance's Cassandra Palmer series. For Sci/Fi Fantasy we all loved Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn Series.

Stacia | 2 comments Hello All!
I've been lurking around goodreads for a while and have finally taken the time to join. I started reading the paranormal genre not long ago and now have a new obsession! It all started with the lords of the underworld and i'm now destroying the black dagger brotherhood. These books seem to take way too long between release dates! anyhow, I just wanted to say "hey"!

message 861: by [deleted user] (new)

Hey all!

My name's Anne and I'm a paranormal romance writer from the UK. My debut novel is due out in December. I'm pretty excited about it. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on PNR books as it's my preferred genre for reading as well as writing. My latest reads include BDB as KMM's Fever series.

Nice to meet you all.
Anne Carver

Someone | 1 comments I had my first taste of paranormal erotica last week and I want more!
Hello everyone, my name is Genna and I live in New Zealand, Auckland. I love reading. I read anything available, but my favourites are romance and fantasy. I read quite a lot, but my English and my grammar is still pretty bad, so please be patient with me.
oh and if you possibly know a paranormal erotica with a shy or self-consious main character please tell me. Since I'm a shy woman, I tend to love those books more.

Tanja (fairo) | 3 comments Hi all!

My name is Tanja I’m 23 years old and I’m from Belgium. I really love reading PR books but I can also enjoy reading manga, my first PR were the Twilight series but I didn’t really like the series. But because of the Twilight series I started searching for other PR books.

I’m currently reading Tempus by Tyra Lynn. I just finished reading Ascension by Caris Roane, I thought the story was ok but I sometimes got the feeling that is was never going to end.
I really liked the books Destiny Binds by Tammy Blackwell and Dragon Bound by Thea Harrison. My favorite book so far is Every Last Kiss by Courtny Cole.

I’m looking forward to this community and I’m very happy to join

message 891: by Acacia (new)

Acacia Green (acaciagreen) | 7 comments Hi,

Acacia Green from Australia. Love a good romance, and throw in some supernatural beings and you will have my attention for days (or hours).

I loved reading the Vampire Kisses series and Vampire Academy and have spent some time reading the Sookie Stackhouse series, Maggie S's Linger, Forever etc and Twilight series, but I'm really hanging out for a good romance, so if you have any recommendations, I'd love to hear them.

I'm an indie author, first book out just a few weeks ago, have a serious addiction to gardening and reading and if I could combine the two my world would be perfect.

Cheers

Acacia.

message 892: by *~*Kolie*~* (new)

*~*Kolie*~* | 2 comments Hi, everyone!

I am Kolie aka Nikki. I am a full time home schooling mom, who happens to have a full time job too and I still find lots of time to read! I love reading anything really but I tend to stay with the paranormal stuff, some of my favorite authors include Sherrilyn Kenyon, J.R. Ward, Patricia Briggs, Jeaniene Frost and Charlaine Harris…I could list more but that list could go on and on. I love reading anything that has Vampire, Werewolf, Witches and/or Fae in it. I will read anything really from YA to horror to some real good smut. I enjoy being a part of Goodreads and groups because I love to see what others are reading so I can find new authors to branch out too. Feel free to friend me, especially if we have lots of interests in common!

message 893: by Marta (new)

Marta Acosta Hi, I'm Marta and I write novels and have the Vampire Wire blog that's 4.5 years old which is a really long time in dog years (but I don't have the ratio at hand). I interview authors, ramble aimlessly, and give away books, because I love giving books to people. I wrote the Casa Dracula novels and I have a YA gothic, Dark Companion being released by Tor next year.

Coming here means that I keep adding books on my "To Read" list, because there are just so many out there! I'm kind of a cover addict, so I like to see all the new covers, trends, titles.

Kate Aaron (fairkatrina) hi all, I'm a terrible peep for not saying hello earlier, but the forums on this site have me boggled! So much going on I'm always losing track of my notifications :-) I'll get there eventually!

I'm Kate, I'm from the UK, and I'm a vampire geek. What else is there to say???

message 896: by Jules (new)

Jules | 36 comments Um..... lets see here. New to Goodreads in general and of course the group here. I'm 26 and have lived in Australia my whole life. I guess I would have to blame Harry Potter (and to a lesser degree, Lord of the Rings) for getting me into the fantasy genre as a kid/teenager. I hadn't realized until very recently just how many series and books there were on faeries/vampires/wolves/romance/etc. I was most pleased and excited with that discovery. I've been dying for things to read since polishing off the Twilight series a couple (a few?) years ago. My friend recommended The Dresden Files around January this year... and I was hooked. There was just no going back or away from fantasy. And after reading those and patiently (or maybe I mean impatiently) waiting for Ghost Story (The Dresden Files, #13) by Jim Butcher , I started searching on similar series. Which lead me to Patricia Briggs, Charlie Huston, Kim Harrison, Mike Carey, Laurell K Hamilton, etc. And joining Goodreads a couple months ago has expanded on that exponentially. I think it will literally take me years to get through the stuff I've found so far and all of this reading is probably interfering with my real life a little, but I couldn't be happier. And of course, always looking for new recommendations... I will get to them all one day! :)

Welcome Juli. I wish it would only take me a few years to read all the great books I've found. I always say I wont live long enough to read everything I want. I think it will take me a lifetime. And who needs real life anyway when you have books =)
