Julia Occhipinti Sirius. Ever since going to Hogwarts Harry had been surrounded by figures that were nurturing and parent-like...but it was the first time Harry felt like he had family back, Sirius did all he could to ensure Harry's safety, along with advocate for him and understand him at a time when even who he was around at Hogwarts didn't understand as much. Sirius was empathetic and a real person Harry could feel candid around, who never doubted Harry for a minute or withheld serious informatio. He was like a Father who treated Harry the way Harry desperately wanted to be treated. All of the deaths were sad, but my heart broke when Sirius was killed.

Elena Dillon Fred because of the Weasley's reaction and how hard it would be for George to carry on. What was one without the other? And Hedwig. I think because it was so shocking at the very beginning. It made me realize she was really serious and characters were going to die. It was going to be bad.

Pooja Dobby and Severus Snape...

Bakshree Mishra I read HBP on a PC - my cousin's ebook. And bawled when Dumbledore whispered 'Please'.

I sobbed when Dobby's eyes turned into glassy orbs in Harry's arms.

I cried when Fred collapsed, his face permanently frozen in a smile. It just about killed me narrating that part to my kid brothers - they are twins too...

I cried for them; and my heart ached for Hedwig, for Colin, for Lupin and Tonks. JK had a field day collecting broken hearts...

Aswathi Sirius Black mostly, because his whole lie seemed so unfair to him.

He was the odd one in his family, never got on with them, got thrown out, his bro becomes death eater and then goes missing, his best friends killed and he's blamed for it, spends a long time in prison, mad with grief, comes out of jail only to live in hiding and being taunted by his arch nemesis for cowardice and then dies at the hand of his evil, nasty cousin. And his name is not even cleared from the crime he did not commit. Phew, that's a little too much, isn't it??

The only happy time he had in his life would be his school years, that seemed really unfair. I just couldn't accept his death. He was like a bright flame that burned out too fast... :'(

And of course, i really didn't want Fred to die, too. Poor George...

BookDeliria (Dia) DOBBY. :( and also Fred!

message 63: by Nila (new) - rated it 4 stars

Nila FREEDDD!!!!!!! :( :( :( ;(

Aswathi I liked Dobby too, but he was happy, he died as a free elf.... Its just different. Sirius' death was so unfair. He should've been given a chance at happiness...

Isaac also fred and sirius

Charnae Warrick Fred made me cry alot. To me he was my HP book crush. When Sirius died I was sad, but even more so when Snape died.

Isaac kind of ironic that snape is supposed 2 b a bad guy but he was the 1 that most people r the most sad bout(and yes, i know that snape isn't actually a bad guy)

message 77: by Erin (new) - rated it 5 stars

Erin O'Riordan The only time I cried reading this book was when Harry went into the forest. During the movie, that part choked me up, but I really, really cried when Snape was holding Lily's body. I still can't watch that scene without crying, no matter how many times I've seen it now.

Meghana Sirius' :(

Isaac pleh

Angeline Joseph Sirius Black. But when Fred died, I just felt numb--no feeling. It was too painful to even feel!

Isabelle I didn't crie for any of them. But if I were to pick,it would be Harry(although he didn't actually die)and Fred.:(Also Remus and Tonks.Heck all of the deaths are sad(except for Voldemort,Belatrix and all the other death eater deaths.);)

message 87: by Anna (last edited Aug 30, 2013 01:35PM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Anna The only deaths I didn't regret were those of Voldemort and other Death Eaters. Everyone else made my eyes at least a bit moist and put a lump in my throat.

message 88: by Tim (new) - rated it 4 stars

Tim Turnip I did not get to attached to any character as to go to the extent of crying.
But Fred and Dobby were the most enjoyable and loyal/innocent, respectfully, and those were the saddest for me.

Julia Dobby. He was one of my two favorite characters. I almost never cry while reading, and I cried when Dobby died. And I cry every time that I reread that part.

Vesta Hermione Phoenix Pimentel The Death of Dobby. I seriously creid buckets. His death is due to unconditional love, loyalty and bravery. It was to protect Harry and his friends, even if he had to sacrifice himself.

Melani DEFINITELY Dumbledore and Sirius. For one, I felt like Sirius had so much to offer if he had just stayed in the book longer! =( I remember in the third book he offered Harry to stay with him one day, and I was sooo excited for that one day. I felt so happy to know that Harry had a "parent" in a sense - and he felt like he was his parent too. As for Dumbledore, I was totally not expecting that so it was unreal! But I'm thankful that he had impacted Harry's life while he was alive as much as he could. I'm happy that he is in the majority of the novels. :)

message 92: by Lani (new) - rated it 5 stars

Lani Headwig, Fred, and Dobby. Also Remus and Tonks because poor little Teddy was left alone.

Arden dobby for certain and Lupin and Tonks also...sucked....a lot...

Courtney Simon Freds and dobby ='(

Lori Dumbledore.

message 96: by YelleOh (last edited Aug 31, 2013 02:44AM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

YelleOh Fred! he is like a friend through out the whole series. I grew up with him and the whole gang. Losing Fred affected me the most.

message 97: by ■©atherine■ (last edited Aug 31, 2013 04:34AM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

■©atherine■ Severus! I cried as hard as I did when I watched Titanic. The memory of his childhood with Lily, James making fun of him and "After all this time?" "Always" line totally got me.

message 98: by rach (last edited Aug 31, 2013 08:06AM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

rach Fred. No question.

Lindsey Thompson Lupin and Tonks no question! I was really sad for fred and mad eye moody too though. I always had a thing for mad eye... :(

Lindsey Thompson And the death of hedwig was sooo unnecessary...that made me sad too.
