I did notice that I'm not the only one to pick this 'M' book, either - annvelwis also chose this one. Me, I think it was one I found through our library's Next Reads book recs - a murder mystery that I thought looked like fun till I read the reviews on Goodreads and started to get a bit daunted by the thought of all those metaphors and similes :) Actually, my problem this month has been all the books I'm having to read (owing to due dates at the library, and the need to pass on bookcrossing books to the next in line in bookrings) that don't fit any of the challenges, no matter how much I keep hoping that an author is from Texas...
1. Twilight by Stephenie Meyer2. The School of Essential Ingredients by Erica Bauermeister
3. Missionary No More by Zane
6. The Wedding Officer: A Novel of Culinary Seduction by Anthony Capella
7. Accidental Diva by Tia Williams
8.
...Seduced in Shadow
...Seduced & Ensnared
...Seduced & Enchanted
i am having a problem with the striking out,i cant seen just to strike out one line. Can anyone tell me how to to that? thanks
Danielle wrote: I did notice that I'm not the only one to pick this 'M' book, either - annvelwis also chose this one."Well, I took that book from library on impulse and after reading few pages I realized that I'm not tempted in the least to continue to read it. That's why I put it into challange, heh. And it was a challange. Half the time I was bored senseless, the other half pissed at myself. Now I'm done and I'm so happy I could sing.
But... maybe it was so bad beacause of translation...?

And the book I do feel like reading, wasn't on any of my lists. lol I started reading it anyway and later managed to use it for the Read the Month - March as long as I use author's last name. I found the book at Goodwill thrift stores (hardback) for 60 cents. Tim Allen's Don't Stand Too Close to a Naked Man.
I just can't seem to get into fiction at the moment. I know I will but rushing to read to finish for the challenge last month seems to have put me off a bit. It wasn't as relaxing as it should have been. So I probably won't make much off my list this month.
Update, I made a couple of changes.1. Read a book whose author's first or last name starts with "M".
2. Read a book which cover is predominantly color "green" or reminds you of spring.
3. Read an anthology.
4. Read a book whose author, setting or a character is from Texas.
5. Read a book that is set in Scotland or has a Highlander as a character.
6. Read a book that has a "military" theme in it (cover, character or title)

Hey I think it would be fun to post somewhere all the books we have read for the month. I know we probably read other books besides challenge books right? I know I do. Like when I get a WL book I have been waiting for. Anyhow just a thought =)
Kenjii wrote: "Hey I think it would be fun to post somewhere all the books we have read for the month. I know we probably read other books besides challenge books right? I know I do. And I'm sure several of us are involved in more than one challenge (A-Z title, read the month, etc).
I heard you ladies. Do you want a folder where you guys can create a thread with you books read for the month and you can continue posting on it each month or d you want a folder for each month and anybody who wants to list their books can do so?Hmm...not sure if that was clear..LOL..
Let me know what you guys think. Coz, I sure want to list my books too, although I do have a 2009-reads shelf but I did not divide by months.
Personally, I would want to create one long list of books I've read. I would want to know how many books I've read at the end of the year. Although, I could do that even if it was divided into months.
Well, Courtney and Kenjii, I've created a folder called Members Reading Lists. You can create your thread there and decide how you want to put your list together. I went ahead and listed my books as an example.
This would be so cool to see how many we have read by the end of the year.
