Hi Laurice. I love the Wakefields too when I was young. Twins and Jr. High... :) Welcome to the group.
Ako nga pala si Marice. Isa akong proud Growling Tiger :)
Mahilig ako mag basa ng mga librong walang happy ending. Mga transgressive fiction.
Sana marami akong bagong librong matutunan rito.
Salamat po!

I guess I'm the most recent addition to the group. I don't really like reading before coz I'm more of a visual person, a movie junkie. But I found out that I just wasn't reading the right books for me. Non-fic and Authobio's are what I'm into now. So, i'm not sure where to start and explore so will definitely browse threads about book suggestions. On the other hand, can anyone tell me how to be eligible to have a TFG badge on their website?
hi i'm charry :D i just recently updated my goodreads dahil ilang taon na sya inaamag. and i stumble here accidentally. hope i can gain many friends here and reading buddies! :)
Ciao. I'm an Igorot-American who is drawn to inspirational reads that encourages people to become better and selfless. Although I have spent most of my life in America, I remain connected with my roots. I'm happy to be part of this group. Igorotdo: The Enlightened Warrior WithinRexcrisanto Delson

Hi Risha, are you attending this year's Readercon? We will be discussing Pride and Prejudice. P..."Yup, it is this Saturday, December 7. It's a whole day event, so you could drop by after classes. Also, a HOHOL usually follows after a meetup. So if you are interested, I can PM my number and you can just catch up with us during the HOHOL.

Hello. Im Billy Joseph. Im 24 years old and I just started reading books again through ebooks. I read a lot during my early years in high school. I stopped reading because of video games. Im currently unemployed so I have plenty of reading times. Previously, I work as an engineer in a telecom company. I graduated ECE in Mapua. Im currently residing in Caloocan. I joined the group so I can look for books and precious reviews of fellow Filipinos.
hi Billy Joseph! Welcome to TFG! What books have you read already? Is Harry Potter included in your list? You can join us in the online discussion or better yet, join us in our face 2 face discussion. And you know what's more awesome, that would also coincide with our Christmas Party! Oh yeah!
Hi Ranee,I read children's book before like Oliver Twist, Tom Sawyer kind of books when I was younger. I just started reading again this December 2013. I read This How You Lose Her, The Art of War, The Prince. I'm currently reading the Zombie Survival Guide.
I will add HP#1 in my to read books. Thanks. If I'm not busy reading or anything, I will give face 2 face a try. :D
you could check out the threads to get the feel. you could also try to buddy read with members, so that if you feel you could get lost in a book, someone could be with you. (heh!)
Hi Everyone! Im Pinky, 23. I just started to read books after I graduated from college because I have a lot of free time now compared to college days before. The first book that I read after college is Sin by Sionil Jose, which gave me an interest to read.
Hello. My name is Cammeo. I'm a girl (contrary to what most people first think of when they hear/read my name), 19 years of age, and read a lot since my elementary years. I like historical fiction and fantasy, sci-fi novels. I think I joined this group a long time ago (maybe even when I created this account around 2009) but then this account went on hiatus and just opened it again a year or two back. I have always thought of introducing myself here, but I've become a bit of a recluse since high school and despised socializing a bit much. I even dream of having a mountain to myself, much like Jean-Baptiste Grenouille in Süskind's Perfume. I think I'm also a bit lazy to keep up with everything that's going on here, admittedly. :)) If you're reading this, I don't know what came over me to finally do this. Also, I'm usually not this serious-sounding/formal in posts, buuuut I don't know. Hehe. I... I've already lost my words. Anyway, the last thing I wanna say is I think the reason why I rarely socialize, even and especially to other fellow bookies is that I cannot relate to most talk-topics, even yes, books. That last one is embarrassing for me because I'm a self-professed bookie, I make the appearance that books are my life, and yet, I cannot relate even with book topics. I don't read Filipino novels (I think it's a shame I don't but I really don't find any local works that I'm interested in), I hate reading mainstream novels (although I do read them too, sooner or later, as could be seen on my read list. Haha. How hypocritical of me.), and I rarely read classics. I am fascinated with the last bunch, but when it really comes to it, I have a hard time understanding them. :)) Also, I believe there are still a lot of books still waiting to be written and read that hopes of finding another person with the same joy and zeal as you/I do over a particular book is close to none. This is a long read. I'm sorry. I think this is the first time I ever said these words.
And sorry for telling so much about myself. I know it's an "Introduce yourself" thread, but there are just too many things one could say about the self that other people could care less about.
ANYWAY, THANK YOU FOR READING! =)))
Hello newbies!BILLY JOSEPH: Hooray to ebooks! And Tom Sawyer! :D
PINKY: Don't we just love free time/reading time? Sometimes I even wish that I don't have to work so that I'd have more time to read, but that would be suicide, right? Haha!
CAMMEO:Don't worry about long posts. We all tend to be talkative when it comes to book talk (even non-book talk, actually). And yey, I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds it hard to read classics. :D
