Rexcrisanto Delson is the first Igorot author to have ever written a fiction novel. His debut novel "Igorotdo: The Enlightened Warrior Within" also happens to be the first fiction novel ever written about the indigenous Igorot highlanders of the Philippines.

Mr. Delson was born in Bauko, Mountain Province, in the Cordillera Mountains of the Philippines. During World War II, his grandfather adopted the name "Delson" from an American officer bearing the last name Nelson, thus creating surprising and curious reactions from people who meet the current Mr. Delson for the first time.
