I blame Laini Taylor and her , it is so good that I put all the others on hold.. and is so beautifully written that I'm restraining myself in order to read it slowly, savoring every bit and twist and character, every piece of sadness and pain and hope...

Think I may fail miserably this month - I seem to have hardly read anything this month because I've had to focus on academic reading which doesn't count :)

The book is absolutely breathtaking!
Neither urban/fantasy or epic fantasy, neither adult or young adult, it has an unique quality... I keep trying to decide which is the main story - the forbidden love? the war as old as time? the slavery? the rebellion? the hope?

Seriously, Laini Taylor is turning me into a poet and I hate poetry and never was interested in writing... but talking about Daughter of Smoke and Bone series has this strange effect... maybe it has real magic in it... yep...I think that's it :o)

*laughs* Oh I know that, I'm just annoyed as I normally manage 10-20 books a month, and this month I've had almost no down time to read. Brain is currently dying!

I so feel your pain.. I didn't read at all from May till September.. nothing, not even a magazine... I felt so... weird... when I finally went back to reading brain almost short circuited from happiness...

Now I'm almost back to normal reading habits, but still feeling weird...

I'll still be feeling weird too I suspect :) Oh well, another week or two until the next essay, so some breathing space now, then the mad rush to get MA applications in before the funding deadline. Reality how I hate thee :P

Though I do understand with deadlines breathing down your neck, papers to be written, and academic politics rearing its ugly head :D
