6:56PM had such a crazy busy day that I had to call in to work. Doctor visit ran long and we had so much to do that I called in. It was wonderful. My wife and I stopped and had a short little lunch out together since the in-laws were watching the kiddo. Just made dinner for Conner and relaxing at home. So much better than having to work tonight. Had to use a vacation day but that's fine with me. Hoping to start a new book tonight but we will see.

9:36 PM. Eating fresh strawberries, on GR, and watching a movie. Was hoping to finish my book, but Mark asked me to watch this instead. Noticed GR has been really quiet today...
I noticed the quiet too, but have been rather busy myself. Hope the movie is good. 9:47PM and my wife and I are watching Psych. Enjoying some much needed quiet time.

Kathryn and Chris I have not been on GR too much myself tonight. Kathryn I get like that sometimes saying ugh I don't wanna work out I wanna read. But somehow I get in there and do it anyway.
Yay!! Janie! Coffee sounds good with reading tonight. I made a cup of decaf, and hopefully I will be able to finish The Fault In Our Stars tonight.

I love that show! have noticed gr is more quiet than usual today. it's 11:46pm and i'm going to read more of under the dome- I can't believe I still have a little under 700 more pages to go (i'm on pg 405) :O
12:05 a.m. Struggling to maintain focus and edit. My e-mail is being buggy and I can't label anything, so have to leave a bunch of extra stuff in my inbox. Hopefully once I re-start the computer, after I finish this edit, it will clear out.
7:33am getting ready to go get my top brace fitted :)
4:10 a.m. EST Trying to wake up hubby to send him off to his last day in Atlanta, then hoping, praying I will sleep well so I can finish the last quarter-plus of this manuscript tonight...

3:42pm sooo hungry:( but it feels so weird when i chew with both sets of braces. Might go lay on a blanket in my back garden and read a little bit to take my mind off it :)
10:16 AM. Just got up and ate my cereal. I didn't sleep well on the account my allergies are acting up again. Going to finish my book in a few minutes, then figure out what I should read next. Janie- we had to do that when I was in high school. I was always the first one to take a shower in the mornings, and one day the hot water never came on. Dad replaced it, and it was soooooooo much better. My poor dad replaced it himself with my help, but luckily we got it done because when we took the old one out, the bottom was so rusted, my dad said we were lucky it didn't rust completely through and ruin the wall it was next to. But you are right...it's always something. I guess that's why they call it life.
11:39 a.m. and I feel somewhat better than I did when I came home from work yesterday. Not going to push myself but I do plan to read some from The Fault in Our Stars before work. Janie, I think it's awesome you get to spend as much time as you do with Aeverie. Nothing better than family time (especially the kids).

Cindy I am certainly blessed with my grand baby! He has given so much to us! I love him with so much of myself. You never realize after you have kids that you could love another just as much!

12:45 PM. Just eating a peanut butter and strawberry jelly sandwich and some chips for lunch. I finished my book this morning and wrote my review. Now, I'm trying to figure out what to read....Hmmm...
3:11 p.m. EST Clearing out e-mail before editing. My Google is acting up since I installed a toolbar from Swagbucks, and now I cannot label any of my email, and therefore cannot file any of it away! I hope that once I restart my computer that will go away, but I can't restart it while I have Word docs open, and I leave them open while I'm editing so I don't lose my place. So complicated... LOL

I consider myself very luck Kathryn. Can you imagine the money we are saving because our hubby's can do it themselves.

Thanks Rachel. It had to be done before it got too bad. Eventually we would like to convert to a tankless water heater, but wow they are expensive.
Rachel, I love the Big Bang Theory. Looks like that two shows we have in common. Kathryn, my allergies have been killing me too, I hate this time of year, if I'm not sneezing and stuffy or both.
9:30PM and I decided to grill tonight. Burgers and Brats with salad and chips. Great dinner, even better Beer and our good friend Cathy over to hang out. I've had a good evening and so has my wife.

Chris yum! We love to cook out too. Right now we have a simple charcoal grill. We want to get one of the bigger ones, but we don't necessarily want a gas grill, we love the charcoal method so much more. The burgers taste more, IDK, authentic LOL. We did see a smoker plus gas grill, which was kinda cool. IDK we will see. We will prolly upgrade this winter, the prices drop substantially. Not quite as much here in Texas though.
11:53 p.m. and I'm home from work ready to finish The Fault in Our Stars tonight. Feeling much better. Thank you friends. I think all of the get-well wishes worked. Janie and Kathryn - well let's just say my honey can't screw a lightbulb in the right way, but I love him all the same. Hope everyone had a lovely day and a better tomorrow. Gotta finish this book! I don't want to put it down now until I finish.
OK, perhaps a dumb question, but how do you hide spoilers in a post? I know how to in a review but not in one of the discussion threads. Thank you in advance for any help you can give!
Janie, I think charcoal is the way to go. I wouldn't do gas. I also like to put soaked hickory chips in with the charcoal and smoke whatever I'm grilling as well. Cindy I think you do a spoiler in a post the same way as a review, but I don't think I e ever done it in a post. Good luck if you try it.
11:51 PM. Sitting here with Gizmo girl on my lap. Lately she has become Momma's lap kitty. Have been thinking of what to read all day, and have finally settled on Carrie. I have never read it, and am looking forward to it. Kind of wanting to go to bed, but Mark has a movie on, and he never wants to watch movies by himself, so I am stuck in the living room. Argh....
1:19 a.m. Gonna eat real quick and then finish my book. Only 12 more pages!

Because the review is just clicking a button, but if you know how to put a spoiler INSIDE the review, it's done the same way in a comment thread. But it doesn't work in a status update, unfortunately. 5:23am, drinking coffee and checking GR. ER trip to dentist yesterday to replace filling he just put in Sat. Just a temporary one for now, hope it lasts long enough. Had a nice long cuddle with the puppy Charlie this am when he woke me at 4:30. Plan to do some laundry and general cleaning today, then read a bunch. TGIF everyone!
9:19 AM. About to eat some cereal for breakfast. It's going to be a long day without Mark. He has to stay at the hospital until 8 tonight. Some new thing they have the leadership do on a rotational basis. Going to start Carrie today and focus on it. Definitely want some coffee this morning. Happy Friday, GR!

10:28 a.m. and my lovely Blue (my dog) decided I only needed four hours sleep last night. Will probably take a nap before work but in the meantime I'm going to make an attempt to finish the ONE (hey Janie!) book I'm currently reading. Have a beautiful Friday everyone!

11:38AM Just had lunch, hubby is working on the water heater right now. Will be nice when he gets it done. Gonna be reading here in a bit. Looks like I will reach my goal of what I wanted to accomplish. That makes me very happy!
I'm gonna reach my goal too!! Mine was a bit conservative since I'm a slow reader and haven't read this much for at least 30 years. I might up mine a little but I'm gonna wait until we get through The Talisman. By the way - the electronic copy I got from the library is only showing 700+ pages but for some reason I thought this book was well over 900?

Thanks Terri, being in a retail type job means I work nights weekends, and holidays. It is a real downer, but I keep hope that something better will come along soon. I really hope you have been having a good day. So glad to see you are more present here. 5:32PM just got back from my lunch break and now I am going to try to get a little reading in while we are slow. Hasn't been a real busy day but I have kept myself busy for the first part of my shift. 3.5 hours left till end of shift and I can't wait to get home.

10:50 p.m. EST Came back from the doctor almost exactly 12 hours ago, sat in the sun for a bit, and spent most of the rest of the time sleeping. That felt great! Hubby is out buying himself dinner and some new bedclothes, since Erasmus didn't want to disturb me to let him out of the bedroom and peed on the bed... *sigh* a lot of e-mail built up today, so I'm going through it. Using my husband's computer so he can set everything up once he returns; otherwise I'd be on the bed with my laptop.
10:04 PM. Going to bed early for a Friday night. Have a busy day of kayak building tomorrow and other running around. Going to read in bed for a while. Really enjoying reading Carrie. Goodnight GR.......
