Thank you, Rachel! Maybe we can read Crank together! I need to get the last book Fallout, and hopefully I'll be doing that soon. :) I actually think you're the one who made me curious about Me Before You. :)

Kathryn are you using your laptop cam? My laptop cam used to do that same thing that was why I quit using it and I use my phone cam now. It works out great!

I might just have to talk to you about that. Mainly the transferring from phone to computer to edit, then uploading.

Well I have a folder called bookvlog. I bypass the whole iTunes thing and go directly to 'my computer' and then click on 'Janie's devise'. Then I click on the proper folder, copy my video and paste into my 'bookvlog' folder. Then like I said before I edit using WMM. Any time you need any help just give me holler Kathryn. I will do my best to help you!

We were at the library the other day and I happened to spot a copy of Battle Royale and instantly thought of you, Victor, since you recommended it to me long ago and I know how much you love it! And I was soo tempted to check it out but I have waayy too many unread books at home, so didn't do it.. But now at least I know that our library carries it!!

Ok so I am just gonna do this now even though one book is still not here. I did my vlog on this as well which is uploading now yay! So anyway it was a pretty big haul. I don't spend a lot of money on any books I buy, I always buy bargain prices. LOL I am cheap like that. it also helps when you have a book buying addiction. Here we go.

I have been really enjoying Jonathan Maberry, both his YA series and his Adult series. I just read Patient Zero from the Joe Ledger series at the beginning of the month and ordered the next 4 from 3rd party Amazon.

The Dragon Factory
The King of Plagues
Assassin's Code
Extinction Machine

Freak
Incarnate
Whispers at Moonrise
Chosen at Nightfall
Think Twice
Home Front
Into the Darkest Corner
Lost
Enclave
Outpost
Under the Never Sky
Through the Ever Night

And that is my 3rd book haul for January. I love finding bargain books!

I thought you'd like that, Victor! I was surprised by the length, too. I always thought it was your typical 300, 400 page novel, but the edition I saw was 600+, I think.

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments I went to Half-Price Books and bought two books by Jeffery Deaver:

Manhattan is My Beat
Bloody River Blues

message 1785: by Victor (new)

Victor Cool Kathryn!! You are making me want to start reading some Jeffrey Deaver.

message 1786: by Janie, Group Owner & Book Addict (new)

Janie Johnson | 6303 comments Mod
Kathryn you are doing great getting his books. I still need 4 to the Lincoln Rhyme series. So I will be looking for them. I looked for #4 when we all got together at the UBS, The Stone Monkey, but go figure that was the one they did not have. LOL

Victor Jeffery Deaver is pretty Awesome! Kathryn and I will finish his Kathryn Dance series next month with XO. Well he is actually still writing for that series. I think Chris said there is another one due in 2015. You should totally check him out if you like mystery suspense books.

message 1787: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments Yeah, I only need about 7? more of his books. I bet I can find them cheap on Amazon Marketplace.

That's good Kathryn! Hub and I have been deciding on what to buy next, lol well ok maybe I have been deciding, but he has discovered he likes this new series he is reading starting with Tempest. We found the next one in that, Vortex, at Book Outlet. I was telling him also about The Ruby Red series which sounds amazing as well. So we will see. For some odd reason he thinks I am using his tastes in books just to fiil the shelves in my library. I quickly reminded him it was 'our' library. heh

Sam Arnold (samharnold) Just one book today and that is Xinran - Sky Burial. Brought this second hand in order to help complete the A-Z challenge of authors names I set myself last year.

So I went to B&N today because I had $13 on gift cards left. And you know where I headed? Straight to the 75% off table and here is what I got.

The Ice Princess
The Burning Wire
The Brightest Star in the Sky
Heart of the Matter

And since I am a member I got an additional 10% off! So these books were pretty much under $2. because they took the 85% off of the already bargain price. I was very happy!
