I've been putting that one off, too.

I started listening to The Name of the Wind (The Kingkiller Chronicle, #1) by Patrick Rothfuss this morning and I'm enjoying it so far.

I'm enjoying it quite a bit, even with listening to it on audiobook.

Llaph (llaph) | 3285 comments I hate the fact I haven’t been able to sit at my f’ing computer for days….

Finished:
Bumble (Legend of the Ir'Indicti #1), Shadowed (Legend of the Ir'Indicti #2), Target (Legend of the Ir'Indicti #3), Vendetta (Legend of the Ir'Indicti #4), and Destroyer (Legend of the Ir'Indicti #5) by Connie Suttle

The first few books made me want to shoot things in some places. Is a family like that real? I am so glad the the amount of times “dude” was used went down as the series progressed. I really started loving the series when crap went downhill … I loved/hated some parts. That is how it works with her books for me! I love to hate the people/events in them. :X Will work on the last two series next month, went over my book limit I set for myself again….

Oh, I read this book too:
Heat by R. Lee Smith

Talk about f’d up stuff…. I found reading her books is like a train wreck sometimes.

My next book is Dragon Wytch (Otherworld / Sisters of the Moon, #4) by Yasmine Galenorn Dragon Wytch (Otherworld / Sisters of the Moon, #4) by Yasmine Galenorn

What I can't believe that Mythos Academy and Elemental Assassin are written by the same author. For it's like she quits taking meds just so she can be a bad writer just for the Mythos Academy series. I have never cheered on the bads guys so much to kill the main character because her whining gives me nightmare.

Lucky!

Finished Archangel's Legion (Guild Hunter, #6) by Nalini Singh and I loved it. This series never disappoints me.

Finishing up And Playing the Role of Herself by K.E. Lane

message 3867: by Lannister (new)

Lannister (lannisteruk) | 10911 comments I'm really liking World After, but there were a lot of horrible scenes and quite gruesome imagery that made me put it down for a little while. Don't read when you're in the mood for something light-hearted!! I'm about two-thirds of the way through and there hasn't been as much Raffe as I would have liked but I'm hoping that's going to change in the final third.

Mello ❣ Illium ✮Harry✮ ☀Myrnin☀ Torin Ichimaru | 2012 comments I'd heard that about World After, Lannister. It makes sense, though considering ho book 1 ended.

Not surprising that there are some horrible scenes, either. Still, I'm so excited.

message 3869: by Claire (new)

Claire (claire1) | 4451 comments I just finished Highland Shift (Highland Destiny, #1) by Laura Harner . At first it struck me as a little cheesy, but then it got interesting and I started to really enjoy it. However, at one point I thought the book was almost over, only to look and see I was only halfway through! Goodreads says the book is only 381 pages long; unfortunately it felt like it was a lot longer than that. It started out as being a fun and light-hearted read, but devolved into a really mushy romance between the main characters. Not my idea of a good time.

message 3873: by Claire (new)

Claire (claire1) | 4451 comments just read Godhunter by Amy Sumida . It was so good!!

Not a 5 star read, but definitely 4. I really enjoyed it. The romance was refreshing compared to the last book I just read. The main character was really snarky and the dialogue was funny. The main bad guy had depth-- you were torn between feeling badly for the things he suffered and then remembering that he's an evil SOB.

I'd definitely recommend it. Also..it was FREE on Amazon so really it's a no brainer.

Soon, Zeenat, soon! :)

After finishing World After World After (Penryn & the End of Days, #2) by Susan Ee (and the final third of the book was awesome!) I'm back to reading The Republic of Thieves The Republic of Thieves (Gentleman Bastard, #3) by Scott Lynch and it's fab. I'm going to be utterly devastated when there's no more Locke to read for at least a year and probably longer. :(

Me too, I have re-read that series more than her DH series!
Finished:
Of Gods and Wolves (The Godhunter, #2) and Oathbreaker (The Godhunter, #3) by Amy Sumida

@Claire:
I definatly liked the first book better than these two. While I liked how the romance and world seemed in the first book it lost my interest in the 2nd and 3rd books. Everything was too easy … I h8 duex machina type crap. Oh, and Blue, from the 1st book, yeah he doesn’t get killed. I will just say the “power” that she got of love is pretty wtf inducing. Got a problem use the love power! I didn’t like how she portrayed the Norse gods either … I never thought of them as emo(Thor is bi-polar and Odin is sooo totally a wuss)…. I read the 2nd book and didn’t like it as much, but I gave it the old college try and read the 3rd book to see if it changed much … no. I just got confused more and irritated about stuff. I don’t know if I will read the rest of the books, but for now it is a no.
Sh—is too easy for her and what at first seemed like good/scary bad guys turned into misunderstood people wanting to change or something. The kickassery went to the wayside and the world building went off somewhere else. :(
