Benita Thompson (benitajthompsonauthor) I have two epic fantasy novels available for review: Starscape and Seascape. Both have Christian themes, but you don't have to be Christian to enjoy them.

If you're interested in reading either or both, please contact me at benitajprins@gmail.com.

Starscape

A legend that tells of a star...

When Pluriel is accidentally reminded of an old prophecy, he and three companions begin the long journey to Nevarra Swamp. Their mission? A nearly hopeless attempt to recapture the Sword of the Star, stolen centuries ago by Jalavak. This Sword is the only weapon which can defeat the Dark Lord, for he was wounded by it in the war of the Valintari at the dawn of time.

But what can Pluriel, Ringard, Galdore and Tristal do alone? For if the prophecy is to be fulfilled, the Star itself must fall from the sky – and how could such a thing come to pass?

Seascape

When faced with the impossible and the unthinkable, choose the impossible.

All that fifteen-year-old Einur Landman has left in the world are his flock of sheep and his beloved little sister. The entire purpose of his life is to keep Lody safe from the Illyrië. But what he never expected was that it would be his own name that was drawn for the child sacrifice. Leaving Lody with his promise to return, Einur escapes into the wild where he meets a stranger who outlines a way to bring down the Illyrië. Forced to choose between Lody’s probable death and taking on the powerful Illyrië, Einur takes the latter.

In his quest from his mountain village, through countless dangers, to the sea itself, everything Einur believes will be tested. For Lody's sake, can he make a final crucial choice and stand firm to the end?

Kate Loveday (kateloveday) | 26 comments I am looking for reviewers for my latest book, Black Mountain. It is romance/womens fiction with a bit of mystery and adventure. If you would be interested in getting a free ebook copy in exchange for an honest review please email me at lovedaykate@yahoo.com with an email id and I will send a copy(PDF) out for review.
Black Mountain
Elly Cooper is looking forward to a weekend away in Brisbane with friends – including Jackson Lee, who she thinks may become more than just a friend during the trip.
But when he doesn’t turn up, and keeps sending text messages with excuses, she doesn’t know what to believe.
Then he goes missing – along with an important journal that contains her dead father’s life-long work, with details of how to make a beauty product he described as the fountain of youth, potentially worth millions.
The catch is that the main ingredient is a rare plant found only in the Daintree Rainforest in Queensland. And only her father knew where to find it.
Elly enlists the aid of handsome ex-policeman Mitchell Beaumont to help her find Jackson, the journal, and the plant. But someone else now has the journal and is on the trail of the precious plant.
It is a race against time to see who can find it first, and it seems as if whoever else is searching, they will stop short of nothing – even murder.
And as Elly and Mitchell search together, will their friendship develop into something more?

Deborah Baldwin (goodreadscomdeborah_baldwin) | 25 comments My award winning book, Bumbling Bea is ALWAYS looking for reviewers. If you are interested in reading BB and in return you will write a helpful review, please send to me your email address and I'll send out to you a PDF copy. A short synopsis: Beatrice thinks she has no talent, but that doesn’t stop her from auditioning for the annual middle school play. Easy! Except Michiko, a new girl from Japan, shows up and ruins everything.
So begins Beatrice’s humorous and diabolical plan to scare away Michiko. But Michiko has goals of her own with no plans to leave soon. Then there’s that “other” girl, Bumbling Bea, who is such a blabbermouth. What’s a girl to do? Plenty.

"In addition to being a fun read, this story does what so much fine literature does--helps us to see that we are not alone" MM. An Amazon review

Jamie Marchant (jamiemarchant) | 57 comments I'm looking for reviews for a collection of fantasy short stories that I have coming out at the end of the month. I'm offering it free to anyone willing to leave a review. Please message me if interested.

Parallel worlds. Angst-ridden assassins. And rodeo bull riding?

This collection of short stories by Jamie Marchant covers the fantasy genre from deadly serious to ridiculous. When a blood curse threatens his daughter, a former assassin must break his vow never to kill again. The stakes are even higher when his victim turns out to be the king. A werewolf begs a college secretary who doesn't know she's a shaman to save her toddler from being trapped in her were form. She is reduced to singing nursery rhymes to rescue the child from her own stubbornness--despite the fact that she sounds like a "wounded cow." A witch from a parallel world wakes up in the body of a rodeo bull rider's body. She's forced to adapt to being a man in a world filled with technology instead of magic. And more. The collection ends with an excerpt from Marchant's epic fantasy novel, The Goddess's Choice. If you love fantasy from urban to high, this collection has something for you.

Joann Kinlaw (joannkinlaw) | 10 comments Why I Wrote The Little Prince & Princess Ball Book
I wrote the Little Prince & Princess Ball in order to share my Christian faith with people of all ages. Both Children and Adults, who are young in heart, will find a message in this book. The story is a fairytale, but it is also a parable. Parables are simple stories used to illustrate moral lessons. If you follow the characters in the story, you will find them reacting to the king’s missing crown in various ways. The story gives you a birds- eye view of the character of the King, and the royal court. How each of the characters in the story respond to the missing crown parallels the many ways that human beings respond to difficult situations. The lessons to be learned in the story are varied. First, we learn that fear should never be allowed to rule in a person’s life; the results can be disastrous. Next, we learn that everything is not always what it appears to be. Finally, we learn through the story that one must be, willing to stand in your truth, seek wise advice, and avoid falsely accusing others. Never rush to judgement instead be willing to forgive. Finally, trust the process. Everything will work out in the end. Life is a celebration. The Little Prince & Princess Ball

Alda Nuvia | 3 comments https://www.amazon.com/VESSEL-Alda-Nu...

My first novel, Vessel, is available on Amazon.com for free through Monday. It's a science fiction narrative with a heavy graphic novel threading. I would love to exchange reviews, please message me.

"A splintering, a rift, the fear of the unknown needling away at the collective whole until, one by one, each man begins to struggle against fragmentation. It is this fear that has led them to war within themselves. It is the fear that has led them to devastate their resources in frantic panic. It is the fear that has led them to their own extinction.

Two species were genetically engineered by the hands of men seeking to heal their rifts in opposite ways.

The Antanku are a tribe of winged natives, surviving in caves far from domed cities and a ravaged, polluted world, struggling to rebuild what is left through natural alchemy.

The Jan Gunnar are a tribe of white winged creatures designed to move naturally amongst industrial civilizations, dominating man as they control the domes and all that survive within them through chemical treatment.

When the world has changed, no longer able to sustain a splintered species like man, these tribes are left to battle for control of the one being that will answer for the unknown at last. The Vessel will come, as she has come again and again throughout time, holding the god, Gaea, safely in her womb. But this time, she will be born as a human, and with her, the guardians, a hybrid, and her murderer."

Dan Turdean | 8 comments Hi all,
I have just released the final book in my epic trilogy The God-Slayer Chronicles. You can check them out below.

Life had been hard for the people living in the human dwellings up north of the Great Desert for as long as they could remember. Trapped between the ever-encroaching golden sands and the darkness within Wündalær, the few, small villagers at the edge of the realm struggled for survival. Many found their end starved to death or frozen, others swallowed by the desert, but some got dragged inside their graves by fangs and paws. Aerö was one of them.
He was the son of Eldur, an Elemental, and much he wished he was like him, filled with knowledge and power. However when his powers flared and burned to the ground the village of Woods, Aerö understood the curse that came with them. He could not longer be among his family and friends, not until he could command his father’s flame.

Together with Velas, an old Sorcerer, his father’s crimson pendulum and a tattered map, Aerö begins his long journey to the City of Sands where the Healer promised that the King will teach him to control his gifts.

Millennia after the last great war, the Sorcerers decide it is the time to cleanse the world of Beasts once and for all. The war that will forever change the life of those who lived in Urukk has began. But a war fuelled by millennia-old hatred is rarely easily won.
Aerö is captured by the Beasts who seem to have an interest in him. Trapped deep inside their Lair, Aerö learns the truth about his foretold birth, about his origin and most of all about the parents he knew not.

Now, Aerö must choose, to fight and find certain death or flee and live on the run.

After defeating the King and Queen’s army, Aerö has no choice but to take refuge inside the Beast Lords’ Lair.

There, under Estrelle’s watchful eye, Aerö must learn to control his father’s flames. The King and Queen have spent millennia planning his death, they will not wait for him to come of age and learn of his true powers.

Across the realm, the Turmenn lead by Petra follow her towards their promised sanctuary and new home.

But betrayal, pain and death follow both Aerö and Petra wherever they may go. The last Great War between the Humans, Sorcerers and Beasts has begun.

No soul in Urukk is now safe.

Men, Beasts and Beast Lords unite forces to war against the Order. Meanwhile, Aerö, Nóór and Ári train, guided by an age-old prophecy, to unlock their true powers.

From the Wall to the shores of the Taðr Sea to Wündalær, armies gather to decide the future of Urukk.

Who will rule the realm now that the very Gods have joined the game? The time to end the four millennia old war has come.

Forward Forward by J. Saman
Lara finally has everything going for her. Perfect job, great apartment and a boyfriend who loves her. That is, until one night when her past and present loves collide. Things begin to change after learning about what happened seven years ago. Or do they? Now Lara has to decide if she wants to continue forward with the man she loves or go back, with the man she promised to love forever.

Start Again Start Again by J. Saman Kate had the perfect life. No one could ever deny that. That is until an accident took everything she had away. For two years she has been living moment to moment and day to day. She's lost and can't seem to find her way back. Finally, in a last ditch effort, she decides to leave town in search of a fresh start. Her plan? Drive around the country until she finds a place she wants to live. Kate reluctantly gets talked into taking Ryan Grant - a family friend who she has no recollection of meeting - along for the ride. Ryan is amazing, the perfect friend and they hit it off instantly. Doesn't hurt that they have smoldering chemistry. The drive across the country proves to be just what Kate needed.
Ryan is stuck in limbo, floating through life with work as his only focus. Probably because he's been betrayed a time or two by the people he thought he could trust. Needing a change, he plans on moving his company west to Seattle. There is just one big problem. He doesn't fly. So when a girl from his past offers to drive him across the country, how could he say no? Katie is his dream girl after all. Always has been. Resisting her becomes harder and harder, though he knows he has to try.
Kate and Ryan are both looking to start again, maybe even with each other.
Can they get past their road blocks to make it happen?

Angela Hausman (angie_hausman) | 3 comments Hi, I'm Angie.

You can reach me at: Angie@mktmaven.com.

I just wrote my first novel -- "Buried Ladies' and I'm looking for Beta readers willing to give feedback (beyond grammar, please).

It's a murder mystery where multiple story lines weave in and out before coming together.

Wanna taste?
“Nine-one-one. What’s your emergency?” She said by rote. God, she thought, I hope it’s not another loony tune. She was 10 hours into a double – helping out Lupita who was home with a sick kid. At least it beat trying to sleep in this sauna – you couldn’t even breathe when you got outside. And her A/C was on the fritz … again.
That’s what she’d had today – loony tunes. Some nutcase even called to complain that his fries weren’t hot enough at McDonalds. Wanted a cop out there to arrest the fry kid. Maybe the hot weather just brought out the crazy in folks. Jeez, she hoped Lupita’s kid was….
“He killed her. He killed his wife.”
That shut up her inner voice.
“I’m sorry, did you say he killed his wife?”
“Yes.”
“Can I please get your name and phone number … in case we get disconnected.” Lots of folks didn’t like to leave their name. Afraid of getting involved … having to testify in court. Sure, an anonymous tip was fine, but she tried to get the information. By the book.
“It’s Joan, Joan Kavanaugh. Please hurry.”
“Not sure it’ll do no good since she’s dead already”, she thought. But, she didn’t say it. “They monitored your calls and that kind of remark got you written up. Plus, she really cared about the people of the Rio Grande Valley. She’d lived here all her life. Knew most folks until the Maquilla plants started going in, bringin’ folks from Minnesota and all kinda places where the work weren’t so good and the snow piled up like cold, white dunes”.
“Ok, just slow down, Joan, “ is what she said out loud. “Are you in a safe place? Tell me where you are and what you saw.”
“Well,” said Joan and MaryLou could hear the catch in her voice. “I’m at home. And, I know Jaime, Estella’s husband, did it. Killed her right there in the living room.”
“Are you sure she’s dead or do I need to call an ambulance, too?“
No response.
“Joan … Joan. You still there? Tell me what you saw,” said MaryLou. “She really didn’t need this, but she loved getting’ all the details. Shared ‘em with her friends at the Laundromat on Saturday afternoons. People loved her stories,” she thought. “Are you in a safe place?” She repeated, getting back to business.
“Safe, yes, I guess so,” replied Joan. “Just scared. Can you send the police now?”
“Already got a call in to them. Should be there in about 10 minutes. While we’re waitin’ can you tell me a little more about this alleged murder?” “She hated sayin’ stuff like that, but that’s the rule. Gotta give all them murderers the benefit. Don’t wanna hurt their feelin’s or nuthin. Lawyers!” she thought.
“Well, it was last week. Jaime said Estella was heading up to Maine to stay with her aunt for a while – her aunt has breast cancer, going through chemo. But, I never believed it. She would have called me. Told me something. We’re best friends after all. She’d never have waited this long – it’s been almost two weeks and she’s not answering her phone. Plus, we’re supposed to leave for the Labor Day weekend on South Padre. She definitely would have called or texted if she couldn’t make it.”
“So, you didn’t actually see the murder, did you? Did you see the body?” asked MaryLou, trying to keep the annoyance out of her voice. Oh, crap. Another looney tune. Gotta be the heat.
Danny’d tease the heck out of her when he got back from talkin’ to this nut job. Why’d she always get the crazies? Like the time she sent SWAT, or what passed for it in this town, out on a call about some explosives. Turned out some old bat heard fireworks. Had her hearing aid turned up too high and thought she heard Armageddon startin’
Danny picked on her for weeks after that. Of course, the cops really didn’t like gettin’ all suited up in flack jackets an’ such, ‘specially in this heat, but it wasn’t her fault when crazy people called 911 with their imaginary emergencies.
Danny was sooooo handsome. Hot, his dark skin without a mark on it. And that thin film of sweat he had most times on account of the heat being over 90 most of the year made him look even hotter. It made his skin just shine. And, she bet she could bounce a quarter off his abs. He must do like 200 sit-ups a day to stay that tight. ‘course she’d never seen him with his shirt off, but you could just kinda tell with the tight shirts he wore.
“….. and she’s always out there puttering around with her prize roses by now. Pruning and feeding.
Wow, she really spaced out. Why was she thinkin’ about Danny. He would be there soon. Maybe she shouldn’t have taken the double today, what with her mind wanderin’ like that. She might miss something important. After this call, she’d grab herself another coffee. That might help keep her focused.
“Well, the police is on the way. I can stay on with you ‘til they git there, if you wan’.”
“Nah, that’s OK. I can hear them comin’ up the street now. I’ll just go out and meet them.”
“You take care, hon.” And she hung up.
-----
Joan looked out the window as the cops came down the street. As she watched the police car make its lazy way down the street, Joan thought about her friends Estella and Jaime. Estella came from Matamoros, just like Jaime. That’s where they met. She and Jaime married at 19, had to, she was pregnant.
Joan had seen their wedding picture hanging in the entry so many times it was burned into her mind. It showed a happy couple in a little room with flowers everywhere – trailing down the chuppah; fighting the bright greens, blues, yellows, and reds embroidered on the canopy, at the ends of each aisle, and overflowing the tiny hands of the bride. Mostly marigolds, dahlias, and poppies – they probably picked them from gardens cared for by family members, although the family could easily afford a top florist. Estella loved flowers, especially native plants.
Under the canopy, Estella and Jaime smiled out at the little group in attendance. Sitting in the pews facing the couple were parents, friends from school, and a few family who’d made the trip to Mexico. Joan never met Estella’s mother, but her brothers were bright, intelligent men. Jaime’s family was more reserved, but very generous. Most of the family came by way of Argentina before things got so bad in Germany that the Jews who stayed were tormented and sent to their deaths – or worse – in the camps. Over the generations, some migrated to Mexico or the US looking for better opportunities.
Estella’s mom was there; daubing a little tear before it trickled down her face to join the trail of others through the heavy makeup she used to cover the scars she carried. She looked a little out of it, maybe the stress of last minute wedding planning. Her father beamed at his only daughter. Joan knew Estella’s father died a few years ago and Estella still missed him terribly.
The photographer captured the moment right after the couple finished their vows and prepared to walk back down the aisle. Flanking Estella and Jaime were her bridesmaids dressed in a subtle blue chiffon that hugged them tightly on the top before falling in waves of gossamer to their sandals colored so they exactly matched their dresses. A darker ribbon circled their waists and a big chiffon flower occupied the coveted space at the small of their backs, obscuring part of the zipper as it made its way down the swell of their bottoms. On the other side, three groomsmen dressed in black tuxedos looked solemn, and a little scared, as their friend became the first of the group to commit to a lifetime with this young, beautiful, but mysterious girl. The entire group, well, except for the rabbi, looked liked they’d be more at home in cutoff jeans and t-shirts running the streets of Matamoros than standing stiffly in their new clothes.
Estella’s family smiled little tentative smiles at the unlikely couple. Estella, at least the young, hopeful bride in the picture, was slender despite the early signs of a bubble around her middle. Her long, dark hair flowed like a deep river down her back. Her eyes were bright diamonds reflecting the photographer’s flash and she wore a little makeup for her special day. The fragile hands holding a huge bunch of pink roses looked delicate and soft.
Jaime, holding her hand as he prepared to start their new life together, was big and bulky from years working in the fields alongside his brothers, father, and, often, his mother and sisters. Unlike Estella’s family, who were wealthy Jews, his family came from a much more humble background. Instead of arriving on a luxury liner with jewels sewn into their coats, his family arrived when a great aunt followed her new husband to Argentina in the 1930’s. With little formal education and speaking only Yiddish, the uncle got himself a little tinker’s cart and sold trinkets, sharpened knives, and spent too much time swapping stories with other Jews lucky enough to make it out of Nazi Germany and its conquered territories before being shipped off to the death camps.
That hard-talking great uncle supported Jaime’s family when they joined the Jewish exodus from Greece and provided the money they put up to buy a little farm in Matamoros in the ‘80’s. Raising crops didn’t leave enough money for hiring hands to work the farm in those early years, so the entire family worked to help with the planting and harvesting. The rest of the time, Jaime and his siblings went to school and the local synagogue for training in Hebrew, prayer, and history. That’s where he met Estella.
Unfortunately, Estella lost the baby soon after the wedding. They’d been trying for another, but it hadn’t happened so far. So, she poured all her maternal instincts into her flowers.
Jaime. What was he trying to do? Why did he kill his wife? They’d only been married a few years and they seemed so happy. Did the baby, or lack of a baby finally make him crack.
He was born Jaime back in Matamoros, but often introduced himself as Jim. I guess it was easier for the folks at work to say Jim. Or he was just trying to fit in. Whatever. She was going to stick with Jaime.
Looking out her dining room window as the police pulled up, she saw Estella’s rose bushes were getting pretty leggy and overgrown. They looked thirsty, too. Estella was always out there to deadhead them. She spent hours weeding, watering and fertilizing them every week. She was very proud of her flowers.
She had beautiful flowers, especially her roses. She had reds, pinks, and whites with a small fountain in the middle of the bushes. On either side of the front door, massive planters contained a mixture of geraniums, pansies, and other native annuals. Along the driveway, Texas sage bloomed with tiny purple flowers and bright ornamental peppers added a splash of color in between large king sago palms along the front of the house.
By comparison, Joan’s landscaping was dull and boring. Joan lacked Estella’s green thumb and hated the hours required to maintain plants in this tropical desert. She also hated the fire ants that would attack unprotected skin, leaving big, itchy welts.
She put on her shoes and got ready to leave the relative cool of the house for the unrelenting heat of a McAllen summer. A hundred and five degrees and 90+% humidity. That’s what really got you – the humidity. Without shoes, the short walk to Estella’s place would be like walking on burning coals. Maybe it would rain this afternoon. It didn’t help much, just increased the humidity, but the flowers liked it.
Flowers.
That reminded her why she’d called 911 in the first place. She hadn’t seen Estella in almost two weeks – no way she’d been up in Maine all that time without calling her or answering the 50 something calls she’d made to Estella’s cell. Then, last night she saw Jaime

I have a super hot new adult erotic romance (or is that romantic erotica?) novella out next week and I'm looking for some reviewers!

If you are interested in the blurb below, drop me a line or email me at readnikkykaye@gmail.com and I can send you a link to download it for free at BookFunnel. Happy reading!

Are friends with benefits worth the cost?

My cocky friend Will doesn't believe that I'm frigid, but what does he know? His promises might make me shiver but it doesn't mean he can give me a happy. He's so confident he's betting me money on it, and a thousand bucks is a lot of money to a poor college student.

Once should be enough to taunt him with "I told you so," right?

But I didn't know he meant trying everything once...

Chuck | 5 comments Hello, my name is Chuck. I've written a new book on relationships. I haven't seen all this different information in a single book so I decided to write one. I got frustrated seeing people miss even the most basic concepts of a relationship, so I decided to do something to help.

Title: Relationship Magic
Website: https://leanpub.com/relationshipbasics
Category: Self-help

I'm looking for reviewers. Reviewers will get a free copy of the ebook as an EPUB, MOBI or PDF. I will need your email address though, because that's what the site requires for me to send you a coupon for a free copy.

Blurb: This book will give you the skills you need to find the perfect mate. While no one is perfect, there is a perfect someone for you. Learn the difference between love and the "honeymoon phase", learn about communication skills, love languages, and issues about compatibility that can tear people apart, or draw them closer together. Learn how important it is to deal with your own issues, and know yourself and what you NEED, vs what you WANT. Learn about introversion vs extroversion, and maturity (or lack therof) and how it affects the relationship. This book also covers knowing the difference between an occasional bad day, and abuse, and dispelling common myths.

Please PM me to get the ebook.

Thank you!

Massimo Marino | 106 comments My new SF novel, "The Law," has now reached ARC stage (Advanced Review Copies). (It is also in the Nebula 2016 Suggested Reading list on SFWA website - SF and F Writers of America)

While the full cover is being worked on and the blurb for the back over is being finalized, you can pre-order "The Law" now from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Law-Tribunal-T...

Free ARC in exchange for reviews are available in PDF, kindle, or ePub format.
--------------------
Before that day, Tancredi Gilmor never hesitated to obey and enforce the diktats of The Law. He's one of the Law Scholars at the Tribunal of Ahthaza, the capital planet of the subjugated Kritas race. When the Tribunal adopts tougher measures against the mounting turmoils, and the marines tighten their grip on the population, violence escalates.

During a social unrest involving young Kritas, Tancredi is confronted with the brutality of the space marines’ oppression; his steadfast loyalty to The Law falters and puts his role within the Tribunal at risk.

Tancredi’s behavior intrigues Mekte, a young female Kritas who sees in him the hope for a change. As a member of the Kritas insurgence, Mekte risks her freedom and her life to get in touch with Tancredi, believing that together they can and must change the world. Mekte succeeds and contacts Tancredi in secret; she shows him the ‘reality’ of Kritas’ conditions: An unknown Underworld is revealed.

Tancredi and Mekte's worlds clash, everything opposes them, as a particle and its anti-particle, but when they collide powerful things happen. They fall in love, against all odds, and their passion will disrupt the foundations of the credo of their respective people.

===================================================

“The Law” is about the reasons of the heart versus the diktats of the brain. The struggle between what you *feel* you must do, and what you *must* do because of how you feel.

“The Law” covers the themes of "Law and Order", racial tensions, repression for security, and love between two young members of different races who believe they can change the world.

It is my fourth novel as I’ve Author-published a science fiction trilogy with the first volume released late 2012 and the third and last volume in May 2014. The trilogy had been picked up for republication by "BookTrope Publishing, LCC".

Thank you for your literary consideration

With best regards,

And if you've read any of the Daimones Trilogy, please do share your candid impressions with other readers, adding to the 1000+ ratings on combined Amazon + goodreads

Amber Clubb | 10 comments Roliath: The Eidelon Series

Hi everyone,
I'd love to get some reviews for Roliath...Roliath introduces us to the world of Eidelon and a more plausible view on vampires. I'd be more than willing to send digital copies so just let me know if you're interested....Thanks!

"Roliath"
Real Vampires May Not Be What You Thought!
Roliath is the first of a five book series that introduces us to the world of Eidelon. For centuries people have always viewed vampires as monsters who can only go outside when it’s dark, can be killed with a stake through the heart and can be harmed by garlic and holy water. They have no reflections in mirrors, sleep in coffins and in order to survive, they feed off of humans, drain them of their blood and kill them.

But as Alex Keens is told about the past of Geannifer Whitlence he quickly learns that all of the myths, legends and stories about vampires were all just lies covering up the truth. Even the name they go by; Vampires! They are called Eidelon and they live out their lives everyday right along the side of the human race with many similarities. Just like the human race they have different races/clans, they live with rulers, leaders and followers, they even have laws and a legal system of their own. In fact one of the most important laws is that it is forbidden to kill anyone from the human race. While they do have to feed off of humans to live, they do not have to kill them in order to do so.

Not only does Alex learn the truth about Eidelon, how they live and what their talents are, he also gets all of the answers that he has been looking for when it came to Geannifer Whitlence. After hearing the stories of how she started Roliath, how her Eidelon life began and how she became who she is today...he also discovers a little truth behind whom one of his friends might really be.

In present day Geannifer Whitlence is an Eidelon from the Azeron clan who possesses talents and abilities that no other Eidelon is capable of. Some come close, or are capable of similar things, but none can come close to what she is truly capable of. Roliath is in a sense an origin story of how Geannifer Whitlence became who she is today. How she met Devon, her life long partner since Roliath’s beginning; Andrea, her best friend and progeny, as well as all of the main characters that still travel with her in present day and how their life long battle with the Osirians began.

The Six Principles of Enlightenment and Meaning of Life is a concise 13,000 word spiritual self-help book.

The Six Principles of Enlightenment and Meaning of Life by Russell Anthony Gibbs

All enlightened beings, most founders of religions and many renowned scientists knew and understood the six principles of enlightenment. These universal truths have been written about, taught and discussed for thousands of years and yet remain shrouded in mystery and misinterpretation. This book seeks to remove that shroud by explaining the six significant universal truths woven throughout science, religion and philosophy. These principles draw upon thousands of years of wisdom and are presented in a concise, accessible format. Each principle is defined, explained and supported by quotes from enlightened beings, philosophers, artists and scientists like Buddha, Albert Einstein, Rumi, Stephen Hawking and Jesus. To understand the six principles of enlightenment is to understand the meaning of life.

Author Russell Anthony Gibbs is a philosopher and spiritual seeker on a quest for enlightenment. In writing this book he has researched Bahaism, Buddhism, Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Islam, Sufism and Taoism. In addition to religion and philosophy, he has incorporated quantum mechanics, physics and psychology and studied the works of Albert Einstein, Carl Jung, Sigmund Freud and Stephen Hawking. Russell’s communication style has been described as “Espresso Wisdom,” consisting of short, strong, rich insight. As the first in a planned 8 book series, it has already amassed a positive following and reached #12 on the Amazon Hot New Releases for Spiritual Self-Help in its first 30 days.

“A wise, encouraging, and potentially life changing book that will fascinate and inform all those seeking spiritual truths and enlightenment.”

Backpacking with Dracula On the Trail of Vlad "the Impaler" Dracula and the Vampire He Inspired by Leif Pettersen

Synopsis:

The undisputed A-lister among Transylvania’s cabaret of supernatural blood-drainers and face-eaters, Count Dracula is both a publicist’s dream and nightmare. Like Donald Trump, despite unremitting horrifying behavior, the public can’t get enough of him even after more than a century of being name-dropped in literature, TV and film.

Little known to most people is that our vampire friend is the namesake of someone with similar PR challenges, Vlad “Tepes” Dracula, the extravagantly mustachioed 15th century Prince of Wallachia. Depending on which medieval gossip magazine you read, Tepes was characterized as a brutal tyrant, a hero, a traumatized child who became a psychopath, a passionate leader whose reign brought order to a kingdom in chaos, scourge of the overwhelming forces of the Ottoman Empire and/or a textbook sadist who prolifically impaled tens of thousands of enemies.

Backpacking with Dracula is my quest to explore fact, legend and fiction (and the copious, delectable gray areas), sifting through the divergent, sometimes fantastic stories about the mercurial prince and modern confusion with the vampire.

As I peel away these layers, I’ll share my accumulated knowledge of modern day Romania, where I lived and traveled for a cumulative two years while researching multiple editions of Lonely Planet guidebooks.

My quest explores Wallachia and Transylvania, the respective homelands of the prince and the count, located in modern day Romania. This tour will focus on visiting surviving sites associated with Vlad including Transylvania’s Bran Castle, where Vlad briefly stayed (or was possibly imprisoned - it’s complicated); the ruins of his stronghold, Poenari Citadel, in Wallachia; Vlad’s boyhood home (now a restaurant) in Sighisoara; and the ruins of Wallachia’s Princely Court in Târgoviste.

Finally, I’ll delve into the various theories of Vlad’s final resting place - minus his head, which, in lieu of a Snapchat photo, we know was bagged and shipped directly to a relieved Sultan Mehmed II in Constantinople as confirmation of his death.

Vlad was like the Jack Bauer of Wallachia: patriotic almost to a fault, steadfast in defending the region from external enemies and internal provocateurs, misunderstood by co-workers and quick to punch anyone in the face that got in his way. In the surprisingly brief seven non-consecutive years of his rule (1448; 1456–1462; 1476), he staked ass and took names, using pure terror to virtually wipe out crime and corruption in his principality and, on multiple occasions, repulsed and scared the bejesus out of Ottoman invaders.

Four centuries removed from the facts, such as they were, Bram Stoker’s fictional, bloodsucking Count Dracula recast Tepes as an undead corpse reliant on the blood of the living to sustain his immortality. Though he never set foot in Romania, had Stoker made the journey he would have enjoyed a wealth of additional vampire material, being that vampires formed an integral part of the region’s extensive folklore.

Vlad Tepes died in 1476, and Bram Stoker in 1912, yet Count Dracula lives on in an extraordinary subculture of literature, TV and film. The original Dracula novel has never been out of print

Broken English (Broken Lives #1) by Marita A. Hansen

For me, the name Dante conjured up two images. The first was the epic depictions of Hell from Dante’s Inferno, with people burning for their sins. The second image was a sexual depiction. I don’t know where it came from, but as far back as I can remember, I had always associated the name Dante with a beautiful and sexy man. I'd imagined a dark-haired, dark-eyed, gorgeous lothario, the type who could capture a woman’s heart with just one look. Dante was the Fabio of my generation, the heartthrob that got women’s hearts beating fast, made us want this man to rip our clothes off and to throw us onto the bed.

Little did I know that the Dante that walked into my life was very different from the one I’d imagined. Oh, he was dark-haired, dark-eyed, gorgeous, even a lothario ... just ... he wasn’t a man. He was a fifteen-year-old boy who was going to send me to the Hell his namesake had written about.

And I was his teacher.
