I think the first one should survive, the info it has is much better, including a cover, pagecount, a full description, etc. The second one also has a tiny mistake in the title, the book cover itself reads "Mr Norell", not "Mr. Norell".

For 795, seeing as it is actually 11 physical volumes I personally would separate the editions out, and keep the series. Before I do anything however, one of the supers more familiar with series/multi-volume books might want to chip in.

If they were only sold as a single set, they should be combined into one entry. If the volumes could be bought individually, then they should be kept as separate entries.

The book "البداية والنهاية" has over 40 editions, while in reality they are all 7 or 8 editions -each sold as a set AFAIK-, but each volume has its own entry.

The policy is to merge and keep an entry for each edition?

Not a problem. We've had a few before.

Going by what I know of these authors and the way they're published, I'm willing to say that they aren't going to be sold as single books. I'll separate each edition, and hold off on the merge for a little while just in case.

Looking at the author's page, and the blog entry there, it appears she pulled it from publication at Smashwords. However, it was available for a short time as people have read and reviewed it.

Worldcat includes items that are listed in libraries around the world (with a little bit of info from other places). Therefore, since it was an ebook on Smashwords, it is very unlikely that a library purchased it, especially since it appears that it was only available for a few days.
