I liked that book as well! Trisha, I didn't know there was a movie! Have you seen it?!

message 857: by Trisha, lives on coffee (new)

Trisha | 30284 comments I have! It was cute - and was a free "instant watch" on Netflix. And I thought it did a good job of sticking to the book/story. :)

Jacquelyn (jacquelynreads) | 18790 comments I want to watch it now! I like when the movies try to stick to the plot line of the book! :D

It is looking nice so far, a really good vampire story but totally not the Bella & Edward type of story.:) Here is the blurb:

Seventeen-year-old Emma feels cursed by her epilepsy-until the lost night. She''s shocked to wake up in the hospital one morning, weak from blood loss. When her memories begin to return, she pieces together that it was a man-a monster-who attacked her: a vampire named Wirtz. And it was her very condition that saved her: a grand mal seizure interrupted Wirtz and left Emma with all the amazing powers of a vampire-heightened senses, rapid speed-but no need to drink blood. Is Emma now a half-vampire girl? One thing soon becomes clear: the vampire Wirtz is fierce and merciless, feared even by his own kind, and won''t leave a job undone.

I tried reading that but the chapters were too long! I'm pretty sure the second chapter started on page 80 something. I absolutely hate long chapters! I will try reading it in the beginning of the new year and see how I like it!

I just got up to chapter 2. It really is about 80 pages! 81 LOL. I don't hate long chapters but short ones make it seem as if I'm reading faster. I feel like it took forever to get up to chapter 2! It's really good though :)

message 867: by Jacquelyn, thebrunettebooknerd (new)

Jacquelyn (jacquelynreads) | 18790 comments 81 pages long! Wow! I think short chapters make it go by faster as well~!

message 868: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments But if it is a good book, who cares how long each chapter is, right? I saw this book in the library last time I visited it. I might give it a go since Trisha spoke so highly of it :D

message 869: by Angela (new)

Angela | 17461 comments There are long chapters, but it's sort of split up into more chapters within the long chapters. o-o The prologue and epilogue are short ;P

message 870: by Shakeisha (new)

Shakeisha Zelma (gullygoddess) | 3 comments I just finished reading The Other Girls Get Lucifer Everyday (T.O.G.G.L.E #1) by Anon Beauty . I won it in a free giveaway and it was really good. Kinda similar to a thousand splendid suns except more action packed. I'm currently reading Every Thug Needs a Lady by Wahida Clark , and even though it's a ghetto book I like it, and i like the book before it too. I wish there were real dudes like that around me who would come and save pretty girls.

I've read Before I fall. It's quite good actually. It sometimes gets a little boring but it's worth it when you get to the end.
