well... actually I didn't really enjoy that book
It was just too bland and there weren't a lot of progress. It was kinda boring for me but hope you like it anyway!

message 561: by Vicki (last edited Nov 05, 2012 08:50AM) (new)

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 31156 comments just finishing Ten by Gretchen McNeil but I had to start Shatter Me (Shatter Me, #1) by Tahereh Mafi for the theme of eye(s) on the cover and going to finish this one up during my prep period Intuition by J. Meyers and then I need to get back to Easy by Tammara Webber and Starcrossed (Starcrossed, #1) by Josephine Angelini somewhere in the mix. Sometimes I use my NOOK, sometimes paperback, sometimes print is small and my eyes get tired so I switch up. I set aside Starcrossed for a red cover challenge, now I can use it for a blue cover challenge. LOL This is too fun! I can't wait until summer when I can read like CRAZY!! Pun intended!

Katie (katiehodgkinson) Just finished Across the Universe (Across the Universe, #1) by Beth Revis I'm not so sure what I think about it. I love and dislike it at the same time, I've never felt like this about a book before - it's strange.

Am going to take a break from YA and read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (Millennium, #1) by Stieg Larsson which has been on my tbr for ages

im glad you get what I mean! I found it to be awfully predictable/stereotypical. I just loved the world and finding more out about it - that's what kept me going! It was great to imagine.

message 578: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments True, Katie. I hope to learn more about Elder and Amy. When I read the book, I was thinking of giving it up several times. It was slow for my taste. But I gave it a shot anyway :)

me too with regards to the characters, I only realised about half way through that they were pretty one dimensional but I hope you get to see more of their personalitys. I just need to read a few off my tbr list then I'll buy the sequal.

I am SO glad I'm not the only one that felt that way. As great as Slammed was, PoR was just...ugh. I wanted to reach into the page and smack her upside the head.

And the whole BS with the "vase full of stars" that magically had *just* the right advice for what was going on at the moment. Just...no. Not to mention the utterly childish and continual attempts to steal it back. Blarg.

So true! This book is a disappointment. Well, it was not so bad if the author had written Lake a bit more mature. I don't like that kind of behavior attractive.
