Ooooh, good one! I have seen that discussion, and it has made me want to read it myself.

I'll gladly second your nomination, Bojana!!:)
OK, we're halfway there, both to Wednesday and to 10 nominations.
Mile 81 presents an interesting question. It's a novella, sitting at under 100 pages. It's only available as an ebook (and audio I think - but not print copy at least).
My thinking is that those voting will take the limited availability into account. I mean, I wouldn't vote for an ebook if I didn't have an ereader.
It's also a cheap ebook, so there is that.
Any thoughts? Becky/Angie, have we a policy on novella-ebooks in place for group reads?

I have never thought about an ebook before. It IS a King book so I would say that since it is it is OK to vote for it. I am sorry for those who don't have an ereader though. I would guess eventually it will be a real book... but then again the Plant was never a book right?

B&N has the Nook app for both PC and mobile devices also.
Thanks, Angie. That's what I was thinking too.
Stefan - great point there. And since it's a novella, it shouldn't be too hard to read on the computer screen.
Yeah, they'd have to pay for it, but it's still cheaper than a book copy of one of the other books. Since we have half the projected nominations and it's Wednesday, I'll go ahead and add it to the list. I'm curious to see how the voting goes with it.

Good to go. I'll keep 'em open through tonight (or until we get 10. Christine makes 7).

Ok, we're going with the lucky 7. Poll is up. Hurry, as I'm only running it through Sunday.

Anyway, we'll do a quick round of nominations and voting. I'll take nominations through Wednesday, or until we get 10, whichever comes first. Then we'll vote for a few days. I can run the poll through Sunday and we can get started a couple of days late. That shouldn't be a big deal as most discussions slow down later in the month.
And everyone already has copies of all of King's books, right?
So give your nominations here. One of King's own books this time. And here is the group bookshelf that has all the ones we've already read in the group: http://www.goodreads.com/group/booksh...
Nominations:
1. Different Seasons
2. The Tommyknockers
3. Everything's Eventual: 14 Dark Tales
4. Desperation
5. From a Buick 8
6. Mile 81
7. Christine
