Ahh, so many Jennifers out there! I'm in again, and maybe I'll actually complete this one. I got 4/6 for August, so I just need to stay motivated through the end of the month. I petered out there at the end of August. I'll post my list soon. Just list me as Jennifer W.

i entered the Seasonal Reading Challenge, that'll have me reading a huge amount of books, surely some of them will be common with this challenge :-) How are you? And what are you reading?
I'm on a massive Kristen Ashley bender at the moment. I haven't read so much of one author since I went on a Nora Roberts bender a few years ago. But there's something about her heroes that I really like... plus a few of them have a suspense component, which I'm a fan of. I'm also listening to Rapture in Death and reading Scandal's Bride. So a historical and a futuristic in one go, lol!

National Good Neighbor Day - September 28th

We had these really annoying neighbors across the street up until a couple of weeks ago. They sold the house and our new neighbors came to our door on Saturday and said hello , really nice people!!So I might be able to love them :)
My neighbors call the people on us because our Bassett Hound barks sometimes. It's a dog. She's supposed to bark. The last time the police came by to "talk" to us about it, he said they could press charges and have us arrested. I told him if that was the case he needed to arrest the dog, she was the one making the noise. GRRRJennifer, yes! The game was great! and it was amazing to shut all the talk down about Robertson.

One of the reason we bought our house was our neighbor's dogs in our old neighborhood !We were renting at the time and were planing on buying in a couple of years , but the dogs used to bark all the time and non-stop , so we decided to move and because it was too much a problem to find a house to rent and then in a year or so find another to buy we went straight to buying!!
and I've never heard of police coming to doors because the dogs are barking , I don't think if Australian police does that!
shosho, whichever neighbor it is(the police won't tell us) has called them 4 or 5 times about the dog. Keep in mind, that is over a 6 year period that we've lived here. It's not like Dixie barks constantly. When she barks it's cause there's something or someone out there. We live across the street from a church that holds Boy Scout meetings, so she barks every Monday night when she sees them at the church; she knows they're not usually there. And once, Dixie's barking saved the neighbor behind us from getting robbed (or worse) while she was at home alone (she got up to look around cause she heard her barking at 11 at night and saw a man on her back porch. Her husband was out of town).
We had neighbors at the old place that had a little dog that was an adored "inside" pet and another that was a young "outside only" guard dog. The outside dog barked ALL night long, EVERY night. It was impossible to sleep. Nothing worked to shut this dog up. Earplugs didn't work to keep his barking out of our ears. This neighbor's house was the only house that had bars on the windows. Several neighbors complained to the police. It didn't take Paul Drake to figure out what was going on: the guard dog was jealous of the pampered dog. Duh! Anyway, eventually someone stole the guard dog. I hope he went to a better home.Susan, watch Dogs in the City to learn how to stop your dog from unnecessary barking.
