I think this might be the point where the 4 catergories fails. I'll have to rethink that for the next round.

Alley (alleycatfish) Week 9: Mountains/Cliff
One Grave at a Time (Night Huntress, #6) by Jeaniene Frost
Book: One Grave at a Time - Jeaniene Frost
Rating: ★★★★
Completed: 10/28
Review:
I love Cat and Bones. They are so much fun to read. These books are very 'monster-of-the-week', but I dig it. This was a good Halloween read as well since the big bad in this one is a ghost that kills women on Halloween to become more powerful.

Place: Mountain: pg. 26 Since it was at the top of a small mountain , it still took a few more minutes until we pulled into our driveway.
Thing: Bag: pg. 137 I grabbed some sage that we'd stacked by the edge of the stream and stuffed it into my backpack , Tyler following suit.
Color: White: pg 65 He'd materialized enough for me to see white hair swirling around a craggy, wrinkled face.

Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ (wolffaerie17) | 1469 comments I had to change my book cuz Dead Until Dark (Sookie Stackhouse, #1) by Charlaine Harris didn't have mountain in it.

Week #9:Mountain/Cliff
In The Kingdom Of Dragons Rose and Thorne Book 1 by D.L. Burnett by D.L. Burnett

Lina WEEK #9: CLIFF
Fairytale Come Alive (Ghosts and Reincarnation, #4) by Kristen Ashley
Book: Fairytale Come Alive by Kristen Ashley
Finished: 01-11-12
Rating: ★★★★
Review:
I find Kristen Ashley to be a good fall-back favourite for me. Even her not-so-great books manage to suck me in. Now I must admit, the title was a big turn-off for this book, but I was somewhere without my kindle and only my phone and this book was on my phone so yadda yadda, why not... and what do you know, this story rocked for me. I liked the ghost in this one much more than the previous ones in this series. I think K.A. writes the kids well, though they are usually amazingly bicker-free. I liked that Prentice loved his wife, and even missed her, and it didn't really impact on his feelings for or about Isabella.

Place: Cliff - Pg 167. "I vote we push her off a cliff", Isabella said in a soft whisper...
Item: Bag - Pg 38. "She dragged out and opened the biggest bag and got down beside it."

Im listening to it on audio and I love the accents. This is definitely a great book to listen to. I don't think I would have enjoyed it as much had I jsut read it. The narrator is awesome!

Angie ~aka Reading Machine~ (wolffaerie17) | 1469 comments That always helps when it comes to reading or listening to a book.

You have all the points you can earn for your team. So you dont have to. But if you want to read along to support your team or just to share a good book you can post. Or you don't have to read and just spend the week cheering on your team.

The Kill Order (Maze Runner, #0.5) by James Dashner
Book: The Kill Order - James Dashner

This is the prequel to the Maze Runner series. It is about the disease called Flare and how it began. Definitely don't read this until after you've read the trilogy.

Place: Road: pg. 248 "We need to head down this road and take the second left."

message 388: by PepperP0t (last edited Nov 05, 2012 01:56PM) (new)

PepperP0t | 2106 comments I followed Dawn's advise without really knowing I did. Thanks for the suggestion. This completes me!

Word of the Week:Bag

Rock Chick Renegade -- 4.5stars completed 11/3
Thing: Bag I threw my gun and bag on the table and swiped him off the floor. (pg 7) – no score
Place: Road I kept my eyes on the road but I heard and felt her move in her seat to turn to me (pg 123)

My Thoughts:
Jules Lawler is a social worker that can only think to avenge the death of a “street kid” by annoying the drug dealers, all of whom she holds responsible for said death. Its on one of these missions that she finds herself face to face with Vance Crowe of the Denver Hottie Brigade. Each time I read an installment from this series, I’m amazed that I love it so much. I liked this outing quite a bit for a number of reasons. On the plus side, I’m once again in awe of the constant evolution of this world and its characters and the skillful weaving of new characters and locations making the insertions seamless and as a reader hard pressed to realize the new elements. Jules was a true warrior princess and once again based on traits unique to her the storyline was a perfect fit. She and Crowe seemed a little pat but I did buy them as a couple. Scenes with the ex were a great fit as well. The best for me may have been the ending/epilogue where the depth of emotion and the way each of them have let the others into their lives was extremely well done. (I am glad it came in this book and not the swan song of the series where it would have felt ham-fisted.)

Another installment of the Morganville Vampires. Glad it had an ending this time and didn't just stop like the others.

Thing: Blood: pg.37 The serum you’ve cultured from Bishop’s blood is of vital importance to us now.
