December 2011 Challenge

No need to be impressed - I'm from Austria - so it's not so difficult to read in my mother/native language *g*. I hope my english is not too bad ;)
I like reading the originals, especially if the translation of series sometimes takes so long or they cancel it after some books. But I also read the translated versions.

1. The word- ANGEL -

Grisela, I just came back from the bookstore and bought that one. I keep buying anthologies... I seem to buy more of them around Christmas too. I wonder why? I need to read some of them.

This is a good one. I like anthologies because they can be read whenever you have some free time (it's a busy month!), and it's a good way to discover new authors.

I did like the book. Once I got used to the style of writing, it was an easy read and flowed well. It was given to me as a Paranormal Romance for a 'You Want Me to Read What?' challenge I was taking part in. However, there was more emphasis on action and revenge than romance. I had never read any PNR before, so I am not sure if this is normal or not.

Never too late though. ;-)
Looking forward to your thoughts on

Great that you finished; I have a couple of GRs frinds that said they started and couldn't get into it.
I would like to say, "no" to the mainly action/revenge... but I guess it depends on the author. Or, Good Gravy Beans, even the "sub" sub-genre. LOL!

I really like the Fluke books, but I'm starting to get a little tired of the love triangle. She needs to pick one of them and go with it for crying out loud! I loved the cover of Daughter of Smoke and Bone so that's what drew me in. I don't normally like a lot of YA books, but this one sounded more fantasy then YA so I thought I would try it out.

GTK, I'm not a big fan of that theme either.

Position 3-5 are free - I have some books to choose from, but I don't know yet for what book I'll be in the mood.
@Susan: The "Victoria Michaels"-book is also on my ebook-sub. Maybe I should read it - the plot sounds so funny & interesting and the reviews are great too. Hm... I'm looking forward how you'll like it.
