That's good to know BkGurl. I have the first book, and have plans of starting it really soon.

@Gwen and @Michelle - My book club read book 1, so I gave into the hype over it. Once you read the first book you have no choice but to continue on to the others...I'm on book 3 now. Honestly, I thought it'd be way more objectionable and/or offensive based on the media's review...it's erotic (there's A LOT of sexing) but I've read way more objectionable content before.
@BkGirl. The reason I want to read it is because I've heard so much in the media about it. A friend of mine has read book 1 and is now on book 2. She says it's an alright read.
I can't seem to stick to any one book lately - IR or otherwise. I'm starting
. I'm hoping that getting back to some of the series that I started long ago will get me out of my reading funk.

I was in a bad book slump earlier this month, end of last month. Thankfully, I'm doing better. I hope your reading funk ends soon, Michelle!
I'm doing my GhostWalkers reread and I'm a happy camper.
Also just finished Rosemary and Rue, very good UF.

Sounds good. I heard Seanan McGuire was a good writer. I wanted to read some books by that author as well.
(I like UF too. :D )
I'm reading the Compass Ranch/Compton Brothers Series...not all that jazzed by it. Everyone says the last book,Western Ties, is the best but I'm not sure I'll get to it. So upsetting when a series is underwhelming...I'm too anal so when I start, I feel bad not finishing it (weird, I know!) :(

I have that one too. I was planning on reading it for a local book club.

Okay - here's another newbie question: How does a book meet the criteria of non-interracial? All characters are WASP?

I guess the criteria for a book to considered non-interracial romance the main couple would be of the same race.

I'm not sure what you mean for that one. Let me look through some of the older posts to try to find some of the black squares.

It happens when you use characters that the site doesn't work bc of HTML

I don't see the black squares in place of book titles on my computer or my phone. Maybe some of the other member are experiencing the same thing and will chime in soon, as I'm not the most computer savvy person.
It happens when I use the GR app on my phone and iPad when ppl add book cover images to their posts. Nothing you can do to change it.

Oh I get it now. Thanks BkGurl :)

I'm over halfway done with
...it's a humorous read (I can't stop laughing at the tactics of these women-what they will do for food never ceases to amaze me), just not as erotic as I thought it would be after reading the blurb.
I'm on book 3 of Crissy Smith's Were Chronicles...they're short reads. The first book was okay but I found myself liking book two more. I just felt the h/h had more chemistry, a better connection.
Just finish reading two I/R books that were not good. Starting "Harlot" by Keith Thomas Walker. I always get a satisfying read from him.

I'll have to check out Mr. Thomas, never read any of his books.
ATM I'm reading Never Let Her Go
Lady Danielle aka The Book Huntress wrote: "How did you like Gabriel's Inferno, Pagan?"I was about to ask the same thing. I've heard mixed feelings, mostly good but still mixed, about that book series.
Just finished a couple of really good ones:
by Darynda Jones. The whole Charley Davidson series is awesome.
by Sarah Mayberry, she is my only Harlequin autobuy.
