Pagan, I just read the first 2 short chapters and it is out of control funny! It even had my co-worker put this on her TBR list. :)
I've just finished the Consequences series by Aleatha Romig. OMGoodness! Those books, Consequences, Truth, and Convicted will definitely take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. Great series.
I am reading Mismatch by Nana MAlone... excellent read! It is the book after Game Set Match ... It is not an IR which caught me by surprise but it is still a treat, best of all I got it for 99 cents!!!
I just read
and was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked the combination of zombie apocalypse and erotica. Who would of thunk it?
M.A. wrote: "thanks so much for mentioning this one! at first, i was like zombies? and threesomes? then i read the free sample and i had to buy the book...needless to say i was also pleasantly surprised, so thank you for the rec :D "Your welcome! Normally threesomes just aren't my thing but the way the writer handled it seemed plausible under the circumstances. Plus, hello?...zombies! LOL
I can't stop giggling at your post. I watch the walking dead and I wonder how anything can get popping without decent food and a hot shower, and then there's the constant threat of eminent danger. It's like having to sneak and get some...smile...,anyways your post did stir my curiosity and I'm gonna check this one out.Something different...why not.

I just finished
a fantasy novel featuring a black heroine. It is a caper plot reminiscent of Oceans 11. Very witty. As I read it I pictured Gina Torres' character from Firefly as the main character. So gratifying to see another white male author along with Max Gladstone, Scott Lynch and Ben Aaronovith who can deliver a very well conceived black female protag.

Tina, Calder is everything. I also love how he came out of no where and stole her from Rick. It almost feels like his much bigger role wasn't originally planned by the author, but he inadvertently became her muse. Thus edging Rick out the way. He is one of my favorite book boyfriends for sure.
That fantasy novel looks interesting. Is there any romance or sex in it at all? Not my normal genre, so unsure what to expect.
That is my impression of Hart as well. I get the impression that he was originally meant as just as impediment for Rick and Franscesca but like you say, he kind of took over. And the author did it in such a way that you can't get mad that he did. It was clever writing, imo.The Palace job does have a very minor romantic element. The main character, Loch, is pursued by a (white) character. She is considered an outlaw and he is a lawman. They play a cat and mouse game and he is fascinated by her. They are attracted to each other and kinda of fall for each other. But it is very, very ancillary to the plot.

I just finished this great new series featuring the Fae

I got a new read for all my motorcycle lovin' mommas:
. This book is so good. They hooked me with the first line in the blurb "Death comes in Armani. Salvation comes in leather." Did not disappoint.

I really did enjoy it Michelle! It was my first zombie novel but it was filled with dry humor. And Angel was a great narrator, as well as a great character. I would definitely give it a try.

I think I will sooner, rather than later. I've been on a real zombie kick lately.

Pagan -- I forgot, is the Francesa Kahill a re-read for you? I may need to revisit them too. it has been along time so it may feel like the first time all over again.I just finished
which is the 5th & 6th books combined of the Epic fantasy series Riyria Revelations. It completes the series and it was a fantastic series. Just what I love in an multi-volume epic fantasy series.

Tina, yes it's a re-read. Just like you it's been such a long time, that a lot of things feel brand new. I just got to when she meets Calder, so I'm so into it. LOL
