I'd be happy to vote for you Hope. Which entry is yours?
I finished
(4 stars) and am off to start a re-read of
for my F2F book club. It's SO scary, so I'm waiting for my daughter to go to sleep and them I'm going to sneak downstairs to my library, dim the lights, and leave the curtains open...Hopefully I'll be able to actually get to sleep tonight! :)

I am not sure how I feel about the last fortnight of reading... I read Audition, The Selection, Triptych and am half way through Finnish Lessons: What Can the World Learn from Educational Change in Finland?. Quite a wide range! So you would think I would have loved one of them!
But I actually didn't much like Audition or The Selection. I suppose for Audition it might have had something to do with the way that the story translated into English? There was all of this awkward foreshadowing going on (and also, I have seen the movie, so..). The Selection wasn't my cup of tea either. The idea was really good, but I found that the only reason I wanted to keep reading was to see what would happen with the rebels/their motivations. I won't be continuing the series I am sorry to say.
I also read Triptych and am not sure I want to be responsible for recommending it to anyone. It is extremely uncomfortable to read, but that is why I... well I didn't really enjoy it. But I appreciated it for what it was. The author advocates a breaking down of sexual taboos, and this set of three stories are literary erotica, featuring bestiality and incest. If the writing and approach towards these issues had not been so downright powerful (even beautiful), I would never have been able to stomach this through to the end. Wah!
Actually, I am really enjoying Finnish lessons, but can you LOVE a book detailing the Finnish education system... :P Here is hoping this fortnight is kinder to me.
All 3 blue books ! Great Christina:)

Voted! beautiful poem.
I finished
and absolutely loved it though I hate it when they make you cry.Now I'm working on a nonfiction book that happens to be blue.
Kellyanne wrote: "I am not sure how I feel about the last fortnight of reading... "I know what you mean, Kellyanne! I really enjoyed American Psycho when I read it, and it was so well written...but I couldn't exactly recommend it to anyone, because it was so graphic and disturbing to read. :)
I think I forgot to mention, I finished my 8th book a couple days ago
I wasn't sure at first but it was a good end to the series Now I'm reading
I enjoyed it, gave it a 4/5 overall as there were a few parts of the story that threw me off (e.g. real world vs. dream-like world transitions...) I want to see how they portray these in the movie when it comes out. I didn't know what to expect from this book as I haven't read much zombie stuff nor did I think I would be at all interested to get into it. But this one was alright, imo.
Midu wrote: "i think i'll watch the movie first!"I find once I know the ending (aka watch the movie) I generally don't have the ambition to read the book since I "already know what going to happen" so I try to always read the book first (or just not read the book at all).
Midu wrote: "So the Blue Bloods series just ended, Julianne? I might give it a try if it did!"It did. It was a good series, easy reading but exciting still.
@Kirsten:I read
after I had seen the movie, I still enjoyed the book. I think that helps me visualize better hehe

thanks,Julianne! :-)
I just finished number 9
I loved it. Love, love, loved it. I can't believe I waited so long to start this series. (I found the receipt inside the book and I apparently bought it in 2010)

Julianne, I discovered the series last year, too and absolutely loved the first two books.
I was told that to continue with Clay and Elena storyline the next to read would be book #6
I'm still in negotiations with my OCD-demon to let me read series books out of order.
Lol, I considered that but I'm intrigued enough about the other characters to give them a try. Plus I have the whole series on my shelf already.
I totally forgot to post that I finished
and also just finished
. Now I'm going to read
which I'm only reading because it starts with "Z". It's a police procedural set in Russia and translated into English so I'm not sure I'm going to like it but hey it starts with Z which works for the A-Z title challenge.
Hi Teammates!!!! **waves at everyone** HI MIDU,LK,BARBARA!!!!☺ Sorry I have been MIA the last couple of weeks :( I started my new job and it's been a little hectic with training, swing shifts and longer drive/travel time to/from work. My reading time has dwindled a little but I'm still reading every spare minute I get. For this challenge I have finished 19 books and will have 2 or 3 more to add in just a day or so☺☺☺☺ I would like to say you all are doing great and keep up the good work...or um should I say reading!!! Things should start settling down now with work and my schedule should start getting a little more regular(I hope) to where I can check in daily.I hate working 12p-9p,get home at 10p and then have to get up at 6:45a to make it to work by 8:45a....grrrrrr this is what my schedule has been like but I'm really liking my JOB LOL.Since I have about a 45 min drive time to and from work I am listening to audiobooks more often which is kind of a nice change ☺
I miss chatting with you all and :( sad cause I'm not here to be your personal cheerleader LOL but just know I'm thinking about you and cheering you on in mind & spirit ☺☺☺☺☺☺☺ So when you feel that little nudge to keep reading, it's me saying your cheer!!!!!
Glad you touched base with us, ♥Robin♥, and glad you are liking your new job. Audiobooks can save a dreary commute.
Miss you Robin :D :D and yay! For the 19 books.
I know! But it's a quick read, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a great, creepy horror story written in a style similar to that of Shirley Jackson or Richard Matheson. But seriously...couldn't there have been a dedication page or something to fill it out to 170?!? So inconsiderate of the publisher. ;)
Robin my commute is roughly the same - 45 minutes to work (but only because I leave at the crack of dawn to miss the morning craziness) and closer to an hour and a half on the way home. I love my audiobooks though my library system has a rather pathetic supply. I'm going to be looking into new options very soon since I see Lisa Kay getting audiobooks of new releases so they have to be out there. Someone told me about overdrive but I haven't had a chance to check with my library.
Tanya wrote: "ARGH! I just finished a great book -
