Suzy Turner wrote her first chick lit novel in her early twenties, but it wasn’t until much later that she decided to focus on writing full time. It was during a visit to Canada in 2009 when the ravens within the dark eerie forests of British Columbia called to her. The story of Lilly Taylor was born soon after and the first novel in The Raven Witch Saga was created. Suzy has since published numerous urban fantasy books, contemporary women's and cozy mystery novels.
Having lived in Portugal since childhood, Suzy, who is originally from Yorkshire in England, loves to travel. She finds inspiration wherever she goes. Old decrepit buildings, graveyards, cathedrals and castles are just a few of the things that can be found within the worlds of he

Hi Emily!
Yes I did :D
It was my first ever visit to Canada - we travelled across Alberta to British Columbia and one day we were sitting in the most beautiful spot on a beach littered with the most amazing driftwood (I've never seen anything like it!) and I just started to imagine vampires hiding in the huge trees behind me, unusual creatures swimming in the ocean and werewolves lurking everywhere and my mind basically went into overdrive. Oh and I do remember there being quite a lot of ravens around as well which must have influenced me at the time too! A few months later I started writing and before I knew it, I'd written my first YA book, Raven.
Canada is the most beautiful country I've ever visited and I know it will continue to inspire me for years to come :)
Thanks so much for taking the time to ask, Emily x(less)
Suzy Turner I just go with the flow, go and do something else for a while. I can't be doing with sitting there in front of my computer if my mind's just not playing ball :)

“But, like I said, it's not just the destination where I found peace. It was the journey too.”
Suzy Turner, Raven

“I”
Suzy Turner, Raven

“Technically, he survives by drinking the blood of animals. He hasn't drunk human blood for a long, long time,” she answered and I knew that she had already made up her mind about him. Deep down, I doubt that it would have bothered her even if he drank human blood. She was in love and when love hit you like that, nothing else seemed to matter.”
Suzy Turner, Raven
