I sometimes feel pressured (by my own brain) to get words out... that it ends up not coming out like I would like... I have found that when I write often, I suffer less and less from writer's block. I also find words want to come out of me at random times so I need to always be ready to write or type it out. Also I like to read books and watch movies for more inspiration to help my brain flow.(less)

“Whenever I would see a photo of Big Ben I would think of Peter Pan. Not necessarily a boy in green tights but someone who would [grab] my heart and my hand as he took me away to his N e v e r l a n d.”
J.B. English, Fireflies

“Take my lock and use your key… only then will you unlock the w i l d e s t parts of me.”
J.B. English, Fireflies

“She is a rose filled guitar sitting by the ocean. Both a cat’s ‘purr’ along with the ‘hiss’. And lastly, a love poem carved into an old birch tree.”
J.B. English, Fireflies

“I wanted so badly to lie down next to her on the couch, to wrap my arms around her and sleep. Not fuck, like in those movies. Not even have sex. Just sleep together in the most innocent sense of the phrase. But I lacked the courage and she had a boyfriend and I was gawky and she was gorgeous and I was hopelessly boring and she was endlessly fascinating. So I walked back to my room and collapsed on the bottom bunk, thinking that if people were rain, I was drizzle and she was hurricane.”
John Green, Looking for Alaska

“When adults say, "Teenagers think they are invincible" with that sly, stupid smile on their faces, they don't know how right they are. We need never be hopeless, because we can never be irreparably broken. We think that we are invincible because we are. We cannot be born, and we cannot die. Like all energy, we can only change shapes and sizes and manifestations. They forget that when they get old. They get scared of losing and failing. But that part of us greater than the sum of our parts cannot begin and cannot end, and so it cannot fail.”
John Green, Looking for Alaska

“Thomas Edison's last words were "It's very beautiful over there". I don't know where there is, but I believe it's somewhere, and I hope it's beautiful.”
John Green, Looking for Alaska

“Imagining the future is a kind of nostalgia. (...) You spend your whole life stuck in the labyrinth, thinking about how you'll escape it one day, and how awesome it will be, and imagining that future keeps you going, but you never do it. You just use the future to escape the present.”
John Green, Looking for Alaska

“When I look at my room, I see a girl who loves books.”
John Green, Looking for Alaska
