I re-read this book last year and it is still one of my favourites. It is a beautiful book about childhood, growing up, and fairytales. These fairytales are much more dark and sinister though than the ones we grow up with. The other good thing about this book is it is a stand alone so it will not get you roped into yet another series. ;)
