Hmm...I might suggest West of Here, by Jonathan Evison. It's set in the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State. Has a lot of sweep to it, some odd humor, flawed characters, adventure, historical setting, and some Native American spirituality. Oh, and Sasquatch makes an appearance. I was floored by it.
