I've been an avid reader for as long as I could remember. I made damn sure I always had two to three books stored in my back pack when I went to schooI've been an avid reader for as long as I could remember. I made damn sure I always had two to three books stored in my back pack when I went to school... probably because I liked books more than I liked people. I'd read anywhere and everywhere. While walking in hallways, while eating lunch, while in class (after my work was done, of course.) There was just something about books that made me feel... human? I would immerse myself completely into a story, the warmth, I craved that almost bittersweet feeling you'd have after the book was done. It made me hungry to pick up another one. Reading will always be one of my top things to do to get a breather from my reality. My generation would usually go out to party, go out drinking (though don't get me wrong, I can kill a pinot noir like no body's business), being social butterflies.... me? Well that seems like too much work. I'd rather cuddle up with a warm blanket with some wine reading about anything and everything, whether it be science fiction to romance... ah, the life of an introvert....more
