In the town they live in, there is a legend/rumor of an old woman who preys on children and has a raven that pokes out peoples' eyes. For a school assignment, they go visit the woman, but on the way there the perfect cousin falls into a snake trap. The other girl makes it into the house and the lady gives her some food, and helps her cousin with an herbal treatment. It also turns out that the old lady is not evil.
