For the past year I've been listening to a lot of audio books and I've found a "genre" I want to listen to more. Not sure what the genre is entirely so I'll try my best to explain.
The "genre" would be delevoping a place, or building a kingdom or learning something or experimenting.
Examples (spoiler warning): - Pillars of Reality; in one of the books they take over a town so that they can build up to fight back. So they then have to develop the place. - Spellmonger book 3; The spellmonger has to repair and develop his new valley. - The Divine Dungeon; Cal has to learn everything this include experimenting with the things he has learnt to better himself. But also the human side Darrel has to develop the settlement. - Sufficiently Advanced Magic; the main character has to learn magic, this also leads to him experimenting with what he knows to learn more. - Eragon and Dragon Vien; learning something.
I'm more looking for books where the main chacter or a group of characters develop/build a kingdom.
