Hey everyone :) I'd like to read more thrillers. I'm looking for something that's either like David Baldacci's books (so political thrillers) or similar to Chelsea Cain, Chris Carter or Cody McFadyen's books (they all write serial killers). I also enjoyed everything I've read so far by Simon Beckett, Alan Bradley, Lee Child, Ethan Cross, Tess Gerritsen, James Patterson, and Kathy Reichs, to name a few. I also tried Patricia Cornwell and Karin Slaughter, but those where not really my thing for some reason. I really don't mind blood and gore, as long as it's well written. What I definitely do not want is a story where the main focus is on the love story - there can be some of that but I'm really not in the mood for a romance novel with a murder investigation thrown in at the moment. Suspense, like for example Kaylea Cross, is also not my thing at the moment. Thank you so much in advance for any suggestions you come up with :) ...more

I'm always willing to try new authors, so recommendations are very welcome :) Also, I know I can be fairly picky when it comes to books. I'm easily put off by too much drama (i.e. hysterical screeching, hissy fits, irrational behavior, "how DARE he"s and unwillingness to sit down and have a conversation) and that factors into my rating.
